Vehicle Detail

1966 Mustang Coupe. Originally a West Coast car. (CA, NM, CA, GA). Very solid - used off and on as daily driver by teenage son during senior year. Torque boxes and frame rails are in great condition. GT350 style stripes on rockers, and GT350 hood scoop molded into the original steel hood. Torque Thrust D's (15") on Kumho 225/50/15 tires in good condition. Motor has less than 5,000 miles since rebuild in 2007. T-5 5 speed conversion and SSBC front disc conversion. Fuel tank and lines < 3 years old. Long tube headers and 2-1/2" exhaust and flowmasters sound great. Car runs very well and sounds awesome. Standard black interior is original and in good shape. Carpet replaced 3 years ago, but some fading in center area. Quarters and taillight panel replaced three years ago - have GT350 side scoops to go with, but not installed. Wood steering wheel, trunk mat, gas cap. 8-inch rear end was rebuilt 3 years ago by previous owner - auburn locker and 3:50 gears. Electric thermostat controlled fan. Battery mounted in trunk. Almost new Magna series shocks and Magna series rear 4 leaf springs. Petronix pointless ignition, melling oil pump. Items needing attention: See picture for cracking paint on hood. Paint job looks good, and turns heads, but not perfect. Car was purchased to be driven, not a show car. Rear main has slight leak, and will need repair at some point - have driven without problem for two years - needs oil added now and then. Windshield has crack. Speedo is disconnected. Radio installed, but no speaker - have not checked radio since owned. Car is in great condition for 44 years old, but any owner of these cars needs to know they require work. Son has joined the Army, and I need to relocate for job. Too many toys, and not enough space. Reserve is set to sell, but not give away.
