Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a 1951 Plymouth Cambridge 4-door Sedan. This car has just over 32,000 miles on it, original from new. As the story goes, the gentleman from northern Minnesota bought this car new. It was never driven in the winter time. He used his old truck for winter driving and used this car for occasional summertime driving. He was 94 years old and this car was purchased from him a short time ago. It is amazingly mint and original. We have the original owners documentation that goes with the sale. Well....where do I start? All the gauges and the lights work perfectly as does the horn and the radio. You pump the gas once in the morning and it sits and purrs like a kitty. I am 56 years old and have been around cars my whole life and I have never driven a car tighter or smoother than this car here. It is amazing! It really brought me back when I took it for a drive the other night with my elbow out the window and the AM radio was tuned to the MN Twins game...it was pretty neat. Notice the photos of the upholstery...it's near flawless condition, the rear checkered seat cover is still on the rear seat and the seat is brand new underneath it. There are no rips or tears or fades in the seat upholstery anywhere. Notice the photos of the dash and steering wheel...the flawless gray woodgrain. This car is truly a time capsule with even all of the original engine tags still in tact. All the cloth loomed wires are excellent. Now the outside body; the chrome, stainless and window mouldings are in excellent shaped. All the windows roll up an down as the should. Even the twist lock wing vent clickers still function perfectly. Notice the photo of the rim, all 5 wheels have the original paint on them and the original painted on pinstripe. The body has a small ding on the front of the hood, an 8 inch scratch on the one rear door, and if you look real close, the original paint is starting to check just a little. It's pretty darn good though, and I absolutely would NOT run out and paint this car. I would leave it an original 32,000 mile survivor car and have fun with it. On one hand, this car is an odd ball; not a Chevy or Ford, on the other hand, I see this car as being quite awesome from it's condition standpoint and....it's really quite cute. I think a nice new set of wide white tires for this car would really be a crowning jewel. IThe trunk sports its original mat and I was told that the 51 Plymouths didn't come with a heater and it was added at the Dealership when the car was new. What a great, fun time capsule. I am selling the car at a modest reserve. Please check my feedback. I am an honest guy and describe all my cars accurately. That being said, this is in all liklihood, one of the nicest original, untouched 1951 Plymouths you will ever find. The car needs absolutely nothing except a new home.
