THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION MY VOLVO IS A GREAT RUNNING CAR, I'M SELLING IT WHERE IS AND AS IS, NO WARRANTY IS SPECIFIED OR IMPLIED, EXCEPT THAT IT WILL BE IN GOOD RUNNING ORDER, AS I WILL DESCRIBE IT BELLOW, WHEN THE LUCKY BUYER COMES TO PICK IT UP. BELLOW YOU WILL SEE AN HONEST DESCRIPTION OF MY VOLVO, TO THE BEST OF M Y KNOWLEDGE I WILL DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE GOOD AND THE BAD, BID WITH CONFIDENCE, MY FEEDBACK SPEAKS BY ITSELF, INCIDENTALLY I DON'T MAKE MY LIVING BY SELLING IN EBAY It was raining when I took the pics, these pictures will show the Volvo starting from the front towards the rear of the driver's side and working the way around the car on a 360 degrees fashion including the engine compartment, passenger side ending at the car's rear. Driver side view. Driver side view from the rear. Driver side inside view, rear seat, None of the seats have tears, front and rear are in good condition, I used leather conditioner regularly. Driver side inside view, front seat. Driver side inside view, Dash instruments. Driver side closer look at the Dash instruments, note that the odometer shows 117.175 miles, the actual miles, I bought it when it had 107.153 on 5/10/08., which means that I drove it an average of 400 miles per month. Engine, right side view, please note that there are no leaks from the Engine top or any other component. Engine, front view, note the strut towers Tie Down Bar, is made in Sweden and used by the Volvo Racing Team All the Mods. done to my Volvo were done with quality items, no cheapness in my car. Engine, left side view, right in front of the Cooling Expansion Tank you can see the Timing Belt sticker placed by a Volvo Dealer showing the Belt was timely replaced. A closer look at the Timing Belt sticker, is hard to read but is genuine, change was done close to 70.000 miles, about 47.000 miles ago, plenty of life left in the belt. Passenger side view, front to rear. Passenger side view, lateral. Another passenger side view showing the interior. Another passenger side view, rear to front. Another passenger side view showing the rear seat. Equipped with Blue Xenon Lights, it was hard to take a pic. from the front with the lights on, that's why I had to angle it otherwise the camera would have been shined. Equipped with 18" KONIG Wheels and Sumitomo Tires, installed new on 6/23/2008, the tires came with a 30.000 miles warranty and Road Hazard Insurance my Volvo had 107.966 miles at the installation time. Equipped with New Akebono Brake Pads, and New Rotors as well, Cross Drilled; Slotted and Zinc Plated, after 2 years they look new. If you wonder about the Calipers, I painted them myself. Well that's all for the Pictures, now for the Good: Now for a detailed list of all the upgrades: 1) ECU Upgrade by In Motion USA a company that operates under license of a Swedish Company that specializes on Hi-Performance Volvo Parts, this is not a cheap electrical resistor wearing a colorful insulation around it, is the complete ECU, forget about the 850 R or about any 2009 on back Mustang, it will leave them in the dust. ECU upgraded on 6/15/2008. 2) New 18" KONIG Wheels and New 225/35 ZR18Sumitomo tires. Installed by Tire Discounters, Tires have a 30.000 miles warranty and also Road Hazard Insurance, this means that if you hit hard a curb and ruin the tire it will be replaced free of charge. I have the documentation to prove it, I will include it as well as all the other receipt so the upgrades can be verified. 3) New Brake Rotors Front and Rear, Cross Drilled, Slotted and Zinc Plated, after 2 winters in Ohio they still shine without showing any rust. 4) New Ceramic Akebono Brake Pads, front and rear, recognized by many as the best Brake Pads for sale nowadays. At this time they show minimal wear. 5) New EIBACH Springs, Front and Rear, lowering the Volvo one and a half inches giving it a firm but comfortable ride. 6) New BILSTEIN Gas Hi-Performance Shocks, Front and Rear, so you can have an idea of the quality, BILSTEIN is the preferred Shock by many Racers, these cost me $189.00 EACH for the Front and $159.00 EACH for the rear, total for Shocks was $596.00, it handles like a dream. 7) A New Camber Adjusting Kit, necessary for the front end to be aligned after installing all the suspension upgrades. 8) NEW Exhaust System from the Down Pipe on back, including a NEW Free Flow Catalytic Converter (Legal in all states) 2 Magnaflow Free Flow Mufflers and a NEW Resonator, the System looks very much like the one IPD sales for $799.00 but doesn't include a Cat, my total cost was between $500.00 and $600.00. Sorry but somehow I lost some of the receipts, mostly for Labor, but anybody that looks under the car can see that the complete Exhaust System was replaced. There was nothing wrong with the old exhaust, if the buyer wants it I will include it. 9) New Upper Engine Torque Mount Polyurethane Bushing, so much better than the original. All the Car Upgrades were done between the time I purchased the Volvo, May 10/2008 and Mid July 2008 when the exhaust was installed. I kept a Volvo 740 I had until the 850 was finished, it was done this way because to me was much easier to do it all at once than to go after it doing bits and pieces, I tried it like that once before and I ended up never having the time to stop the car to install more Mods. carefully as it should be. Also, I believe that to own a fast car, is imperative that it can STOP FAST before going faster and if more power is wanted, is imperative to give the engine Room to Breath before giving it more intake. All Mods. and upgrades as well as the Preventive Maintenance ended when the Volvo had close to 108.000 miles and it was also close to August 2008. For the Sad part, I had to undergo Spine Surgery on Nov. 2008 and again on May 2010, having a bad back I have to sell it, since I can't tolerate the firm ride my Volvo has. Sadly, after my Volvo was professionally upgraded I'm not able to enjoy the finished product. Whoever buys this Volvo doesn't only buy the Car, he/she will also receive free of charge the knowledge of many years playing with cars that allowed me to build a very nice and well balanced City and Highway car that looks normal but when its stepped on it comes alive breathing fire. The reason why I listed all that's above is because I'm trying to get a fair price for my Sweet Volvo I understand that I won't recover all that I spent on the upgrades but at least a fair price representative of what the car is worth it will be nice. Take in to account that I spent close to $5.500.00 or more, above what I paid for the Volvo itemized looks like this: $1.100.00 for the Tires and Wheels; another $1.000.00 in springs and shocks, $300.00 for the Brakes Upgrades; $550.00 for the exhaust; $450.00 for the ECU upgrade; $200.00 + for the Strut Towers Tie Down Bar, $600.00 for the NEW Lower Control Arms and for the stabilizing bar Tie-Downs $100.00 for the Camber Adjusting Kit, $110.00 for the Struts Upper Bearings, and somewhere around $1000.00 for all the labor to install the upgrades. I also upgraded the Stereo with a New JVC Hi Def. AM/FM radio with CD Player, plays MP3 Wav files and many others, you can enjoy between 4 and 7 hours out of a CD depending on the recording format you use.. BONUSES: I have left a NEW Never Installed Tow Bar, Custom Made for my Volvo and also a NEW Never Installed OEM Trunk Mounted Spoiler, it came painted in Volvo Factory Red, same color as My Car, it has also a Center Brake Light just like the original. If the auction goes above $3.000.00 (A ridiculous low price for my Volvo) I will include them FREE OF CHARGE for the Happy Buyer, to buy my Volvo for under $5.000.00 is like paying for the upgrades and receiving the 850 (the car) as a Free Perk. Well that's all for the Good, now for the Bad: My Volvo was defaced by a jerk that had nothing better to do, the damage after the event, (which I reported to the Police and my insurance company) were deep scratch marks, my car was keyed or nailed, the most damage was done to the Hood; both driver's doors and the trunk, also there is a scratch almost unnoticeable on the roof, in a separate occasion, both driver's doors windows were broken for theft purposes, one of the doors ended up with a small dent where the Thief placed a screw driver to brake the glass silently, both driver's windows were replaced. Pictures don't show the imperfections but I'm disclosing them so the buyer will find no surprises, I like my Feedback the way it is and I want to keep it that way. Also the rear doors speakers don't work, the thieve apparently annoyed because he couldn't pull the speakers, broke the cones with a screw driver or similar. to compensate somewhat, I bought another in dash JVC, same model radio, if the buyer has never had a Hi-Def FM Radio is in for a good surprise, the FM sound is awesome, to replace all that was stolen I installed Two 2-way Infinity Reference Speakers in the front dash, adapted Blaupunkt Velocity in the front doors and also adapted two 4X6 2-Way Infinity Reference to 2 original Volvo Plates (found a pair of used ones) and install them in the rear, all together a decent sound system, definitely not a competition system but plays well. 2 Wheels have Minor Road Damage: The Damage was Courtesy of a Warner Cable Driver who was driving the company Van while reading the work order, He cut right in front of me, in order to avoid more serious damage I went over a Parking Lot Cement Stopper scratching both Wheels Lips, had them tested and was told that they were not bent. The Air Conditioner: The Compressor Clutch bearing became noisy it concerned me that it could lock-up and trash the belt so I bought a used compressor replacing the noisy one, it needs to be charged, at this time needs refrigerant gas to work. The Service Light in Volvo's needs to be turned off by the Dealer otherwise it will stay on for 3 minutes and after it goes of, my Volvo is at that stage, not to be mistaken for an Engine Check Light that normally requires immediate attention What works and what doesn't. At this time everything works with the exception of the AC mentioned above and I believe nothing else is wrong. Power Seats: works well, including the memories Sunroof: works well. Trip Computer: works well. OBD: works well. Engine Check Light: works well, is not reporting a malfunction at this time. ABS Brakes: works well. Adjustable Steering: works well. Dash Instrumentation: works well. Headlight Wipers: They work well but one needs a new blade (rubber) If a potential buyer would have an specific question I'll be happy to answer any questions between 11:00 AM and 10:00 PM Eastern Time. Due to a disability it will have to be over the phone, since I have free long distance I offer to be the one who calls. All the main components and the accessories work well at this time, I have no doubt that the buyer can drive it to California if he/she wants, my Volvo is completely road worthy. If it wasn't for my back surgeries and the sequels I wouldn't sell it but like I stated above, the ride although comfortable for everybody is just to firm for me being the only reason for me to sell it, sadly I have to let it go after I completed the improvements I wanted to install. TRANSPORTATION ISSUES. I offer to pick-up the buyer anywhere in Columbus, either the Airport or the Bus station, however if the buyer elects to arrive to another City in Ohio it will the buyer's responsibility to find transportation to Columbus, Ohio My Volvo is no longer insured and the plates are not valid, the Buyer will have to either bring a set of plates and proof of insurance unless the buyer decide to take a chance. Close to my house there is a DMV Tags & License Office, a 30 day tag can be purchased for under $20.00 and I will drive the buyer to it so he/she cam drive home legally.
