Vehicle Detail

1954 Cadillac Series 62 sedan, looks original, with Coker wide white radials, rebuilt 350 Chevy small block with very low miles, turbo 350 3 speed automatic, dual exhaust, brakes, suspension including bushings and shocks were all gone through in the past few years. This car runs & drives great - I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere! It came from North Dakota, had very little rust, although there is some in the usually places, left rear bumper end has rust holes and could be replaced, but looks ok as is. New custom two-tone burgundy & grey vinyl interior, cd player in glove box. The motor in this car is very strong - always starts easily, is powerful, quiet, doesn't leak or burn any oil. According to previous owner, it has less than 2000 miles since rebuild - I don't have receipts since it was done by the previous owner, but it is obviously a nice drivetrain. The engine has been dressed to look originial - has original-looking valve covers and a reproduction original style air cleaner that takes a paper element. Brakes work fine, including the emergency brake. Power steering works great, steers easily. Speedomter cable may need to be replaced, since the speedo needle "bounces" when driving. Exhaust system may need some work, looks like a pipe connector under the middle of the car has a small leak, barely noticeable. Exhaust exits out the rear bumper ends as it should, and has a nice sound. The car was repainted once about ten years ago with an acrylic enamel in its original colors, it sat in a barn in North Dakota and birds left there droppings on the hood - it buffs out but some marks are still visible. Could use a repaint, but it shines nice, and looks great going down the road - turns a lot of heads! It's not a show car, but is a great sunday driver, and I've even driven it in parades. Doesn't overheat - very reliable. I've tried to include pictures of every part of the car to show the imperfections, there are a few small scratches & cracks in the paint, the top of the right fender has a scrape, and there is a tiny amount of bubbling under the paint in a couple places. The chrome is original, and looks nice other than the left bumper end previously mentioned. My reserve is low, and is what I have invested in the car. I need to sell this because I don't have room to store it anymore. Please check out my 11 years on eBay with 100% positive feedback (true positive feedback, not one negative in 11 years!)!! Car is located 90 miles NE of Duluth Mn on the beautiful shores of Lake Superior. $500.00 non-refundable Paypal deposit due within 48 hours of winning bid, and full payment due within 10 days or at time car is picked up, whichever is earlier. Car must be picked up within 30 days or storage charges will accrue. Will sell world-wide, international buyers will need to arrange transport, but I will assist loading the vehicle or anything else I can help with! Good luck bidding - please email any questions BEFORE you bid! On Jun-23-10 at 08:24:00 PDT, seller added the following information: I've lowered the buy-it-now and reserve price as low as I can go; I'd like to sell the car, and feel it's a really good deal for the money. I've seen 55 - 57 Chevy 4 door sedans sell for more that weren't as nice. Good luck bidding! On Jun-26-10 at 07:20:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Lowered the reserve & buy-it-now price one more time. I paid $6000.00 for this car about 3 years ago; I've added the new interior and other improvements, and so I'm obviously losing money on this, but I need to sell - don't want it sitting outside since I lost indoor storage! I drove it this morning, and it really is a sweet ride - this rebuilt motor is awesome - like I said earlier, no leaks, no ticking, no smoke, runs very strong and you'd swear it was a brand new crate motor, it was definitely a quality build. You'd pay well over $3000.00 just for a rebuilt engine/trans like this, so I feel like I'm giving the car away! Buy it now, drive it home tomorrow! Email any questions! On Jul-28-10 at 04:40:10 PDT, seller added the following information: This is the second time I've listed my car on eBay, and I'm hoping I will find a buyer this time around. I've lowered the reserve and buy-it-now price again. Good luck biddingOn Jul-31-10 at 11:45:15 PDT, seller added the following information: If there are any serious bidders out there - here you go, the next bid buys it!
