Up for auction is a 1970 Ford Torino GT Convertible. The car is equipped with a 351 Cleveland 2V with an Edelbrock Performer intake and a 4V Holley carb. I installed an aftermarked Lunati cam, which is one step above stock. The car is also factory equipped with power steering, power disc brakes and air conditioning (needs to be recharged). Car also has a C4 transmission with a Ford 9 inch in the rear with 3.00 open gears. Car was professionally painted in 2006. It is a factory bucket seat console car with a power top and hideaway headlights, both of which work excellent. However, I do not have a console for it. Car is also equipped with Magnum 500 rims all the way around. It is very solid and rust free with the exception of the area around the gas tank in the trunk. There is some rust here from rain running down the top and into the trunk. This is a pretty common problem on convertibles. Things the car needs include side mirrors, antenna, some weather stripping around the windows and interior kick panels that go under the dash. The back seat is in excellent condition, however the driver’s side front seat has a tear on the left side of the backrest. The top does not have any tears in it but the back window (which is plastic) has separated on one side. I also do not have a toneau cover for the top. The rear bumper could also be rechromed or replaced with a nicer one. Overall this is a very solid car that looks sharp and is in excellent working conditioning. I have driven it on 8 hour round trips several times with no issues and I have also had it in several local car shows. The only reason I am selling the car is so I can afford to finish college.
