Vehicle Detail

This is an original 1968 Formula S Fastback with number matching 340 HP engine and original number matching 727-torqueflite transmission. I’ve owned it for 4 years. BODY: Re-painted approximately 15 year ago its original “U” code light blue metallic paint. Body is in very good condition, straight and solid, paint has a few bubbles at the usual seams (A pillar and C pillar areas) that have been there since I’ve owned it with no change in condition. It does NOT need repainting unless you want a “trailer queen”. Chassis is factory undercoated and is still nice and clean. Chrome and trim is excellent, bumpers and taillights are beautiful as are the trunk trim panels, Grills and grill surrounds are perfect with exception to one small flat spot on driver’s side grill surround. Trunk and spare tire well is clean and solid with the original tire cover and a reproduction trunk mat. INTERIOR: New Legendary medium blue deluxe interior. Includes bucket seat and rear bench seat covers, door panels and carpeting. Dash pads and headliner are in excellent original condition. Dash bezel and gauges have been restored. Console has been restored and looks new. Original AM radio looks new and works fine. ENGINE: Original 340 HP number matching engine, has about 400 miles on it since being freshened in May 2006, I have the receipts. Radiator recently boiled out and repainted. Original steering box and K-member nice and clean, original HP exhaust manifolds are nice with no significant pitting. New TTI exhaust complete from the exhaust manifold flanges back including mufflers and stainless exhaust tips. A new Holley carburetor is currently installed on the original intake manifold, was done while the original Carter AVS 4425S was being completely restored. I recently got it back and it will go with the car along with a new choke assembly and fuel lines –IF– I don’t have a chance to get it installed. DRIVETRAIN: Correct Firestone F-70-14 redline tires with poverty caps, originally ordered with 3:23 peg leg, now has 3:23 posi. LIGHTING: All lights work properly - side markers, brake lights, headlights (both beams), turn signals, Interior courtesy lights, dash lights. Hood mounted turn signal indicators are new reproduction and excellent. DOCUMENTATION: Original owners manual, broadcast sheet and other miscellaneous original owner paperwork. Call or send a message if you need more information (903)736-0495.
