Great car for a complete restoration. Never been restored or altered. Mostly original April Gold paint so there's no hidden body filler. Where there is primer, it's just primer, not body work. The floors are great, just mild surface rust, not even pitting. But, under rthe rear seat on the right side there is a large rust hole(softball size) as if water sat there for a long time. The car hadn't been registered since 95 and has sat inside my garage unused since 2001. The trunk floor is okay, but there are a few rust holes and some pitting. The frame is excellent. No damage or rust. Even at the body mounting positions. The doors are dented with only minor rust. The door frames are great. The rockers have some pitting, but very solid, no holes. The RF fender and front valence was replaced at one time. The fender is good. the valence will require some dent repairs. Best to replace the valence. The hood is fine except in the right front conder it's bent and has some small rust holes. The front bumper is very nice. This is a tilting headlight GTO from the factory, however, the actuators, hoses, and vacuum canaster are missing. I don't know why. The engine trans and rear are all matching # and all in very good running order. This car can be driven anywhere.Previous owner states the milage of 46,00 is original but I cannot verify that. There is a small leak in the radiator but it doesnt run hot. Always starts. The rad is an incorrect 3-row rather than a 4-row one it's supposed to have. Engine code YS. Trans code PY, or PX, I cant remember but it's the original one with the VIN stamped on it. The rear is an open, NON posi. Overall a very functioning, drivable GTO Which really deserves a total restoration. It is a low-option car. I have the PHS docs. paint code G2. interior black. Car has been in Washington state it's entire life.On Jul-23-10 at 20:15:00 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received a few emails so i thought I would add a few things..The wheels are 15X7 and powdercoated silver...Although not pictured, I had the original air cleaner. I also have the trim for the vinyl top and the moldings that go on the quarters behind the rear wheels. All these pieces are in good condition. I DO NOT have the rocker chrome trim, but the clips are still there. I also do not have the wheel opening molding for the left rear quarter panel. the other three are there and in good shape. I also have the trim around the windshield. the winshield is cracked but the window channels are all very good except the lower left corner there is a hole (see pic). The dash pad has one small crack. Again, this car runs and drives very well. It can be driven daily. brakes and wheels cylinders are all new. All the steering and suspension parts are original but in good condition. The exhaust head pipes look original, muffers are not. Have some exh leak but not bad ( you wont get a ticket because of it). The engine burns no oil nor does it make any odd noises or lifter noises. I am very tempted to take the motor and trans out and put it in my 68 Firebird, but I just can see parting the body and it's original drivetrain.Plus, the body is really not that bad at all
