Vehicle Detail
This is my personal car which I use daily in town and on the highway, and I am selling her because I am moving to another country. I will have more pictures up tomorrow. The one I have used is old and bad, and shows oxidation which a little buffing made disappear. For whatever perverse reason, my cell phone camera is not uploading to my e-mail tonight, the auction has to last seven days, and I need it to be over next Wednesday, so I'm using what I've already got in my computer. I will get the systems together and set up a group of interior and exterior views tomorrow evening when I get home from work. The Sentras are legendary for their endurance and performance, but frankly this one is remarkable. I don't believe that the engine is original, because it runs insanely strong and quiet and absolutely does not burn or leak anything. I have replaced the radiator and fuel pump, and have given her new tires, wipers, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. I have driven her close to two hundred miles a day for the last four months. I would drive her to Alaska tomorrow, but I'm moving to Norway.... She rides like a much bigger car and handles like a sports sedan. Well... The seats are almost flawless, the headliner intact, the body almost without blemish, the undercarriage rock solid. Brakes will be good for another month or so at my level of driving, at which time rear shoes would be indicated, probably front pads as well. Still a little wear left there, and the idiot who pulled out in front of me last night proved just how well they work. There is a small dent on the passenger side which would probably pull out with a suction cup no problem. The only interior damage is UV cracking in the dashboard. I am going to be looking into replacing this, but I want to be up front about the blemish. The only real problem is that the speakers for the radio are shot. The unit seems to work fine, but I am particular about my listening experience, so... At any rate, I would like to have gotten her perfect while I still had her, but such is life. A couple of speakers and a dashboard and she'll be ready to impress a date, in the meantime she's ready to go anywhere anytime. The reserve is reasonable based upon the car's mileage. Like my age, you would not believe it, and if you're scared by numbers you won't bid. But if you drove the car, you would pay more than the buy it now price. Hey, it is what it is. So, the odometer reads about 320,000. Again, at three thousand miles, no drop in oil level. No smoke. No leak. Around town or down the interstate smooth, strong, astonishingly responsive. More pics up tomorrow. There is some oxidation on the paint, which does not show up in the last few pictures, because the car has just been rinsed off. One area of oxidation responded well to buffing out, but I do not have time to finish prettying her up, so I will just throw in the compound. The only interior damage is UV cracking in the dashboard.
