THIS RARE 1962 GMC SUBURBAN 2WD 1/2 TON WOULD MAKE A VERY UNIQUE RESTORATION OR WORTHWHILE FATHER/SON HOT ROD PROJECT This Suburban should be considered a very solid project vehicle, as restoration was started and was headed in the right direction, but never finished. Lots of upgrades have been done such as power disc brakes, 350 engine, power steering and tilt column. This auction also has NO RESERVE, high bid takes it home. If winning bidder is in Southern California, I can assist with delivery, I also deliver to the shipping terminals in the Los Angeles area on a weekly basis. Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! Cosmetically, stored indoors since 1996 this Subs body is very straight and near perfect as it only has 1 small repairable rust spot on the passenger fender heel and passenger door corner. There are no dents or dings!! I would call the paint just "driver" quality. This GMC is very solid, floors and undercarriage look excellent! All glass looks good with the exception of a star on the passenger windshield corner. All 4 side windows slide open smooth and are tinted. I do not have either one of the bumpers. I do have the original column and other stock parts that will come with the truck (see pics). The interior is pretty much self explanatory in the pictures, there is not much to it!! Front buckets are aftermarket Chevy van, middle seat is the stock bench and in decent shape. Aftermarket gauges have been added to the stock dash. Mechanically, the stock 350 engine is complete and runs excellent, it has chrome headers and HEI ignition. I have a turbo 400 transmission from a Camaro that I will include for the winning bidder, as there is no trans in the truck right now. Engine is secured so it will not lay back during transport. I have in hand the clean and clear California title on this GMC. Original Black plate is still on the Sub. The car is located in Moreno Valley, California 92551 (Southern California) near March Air Base. I encourage personal inspections and am available Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm for personal viewing.
