The 1971 VW Camper is considered by many to be the best year due to the addition of front disk brakes but no changes in the engine. The engine in this van was rebuilt less than a year ago (have receipt from prior owner) and has now has 5,500 miles. The odometer reads 41,000 miles and I don't know how many times it has turned as I have only been the owner for a couple of months. Recently I had the generator rebuilt, installed a new bosh starter and exhaust system. Lots of small things were also replaced, Belt, Plugs, Points, Cap, Rotor, Clutch Cable & Battery. The transmission and clutch are in good condition and the bus runs good as of today. Please know these vehicles take constant tinkering and care to keep them alive and on the road. As you can see the exterior of the van is clean and quite a head turner. Body is straight minus a couple minor dings on the rear corner and the bumpers. Paint looks okay for its age. The undercarriage is clean minus rust under the front floorboards which is easily repairable if you desire to do so. Tires are new with VW Hub Caps and Beauty Rings. The windows are tinted all around. The camper top and seals are in good condition. Has a tow hitch and is wired for trailer lights. The interior is very clean. All the camping gear is in good condition and working order. Has a nice sounding AM/FM CD Stereo with ipod connections. Comes with a full set of curtains, sleeping cot, rear bug screen and stool. Overall this is a great bus that has it all and is ready to be enjoyed by it's new owners. Clear California title, current registration and original owners guides. I require a $1,500 deposit via PayPal when the action is closed. Final payment must be made within 72 hours using PayPal or cash in person.
