Vehicle Detail

Here we have a 2002 Suzuki Bandit 1200 STREETFIGHTER that I saved from a salvage yard in Long Beach about 18 months ago. I believe the bike was used in a track day event ( evident by the lights, guages and signals being taped over), and was laid down on the right side during the event. resulting in the insurance co. writing the vehicle off. Anyway, I removed all of the damaged fairings, brackets, headlight and such and began putting her back together as a STREETFIGHTER. In doing so I replaced the left side lower engine crankcase cover, removed the softball size dent from the tank, replaced the clutch lever, and left side control switches, installed new handle bars and bar riser clamps, replaced the throttle tube and assembly, a new cyclops style headlight, new turn signals front & rear, a K&N air filter, new front brake pads, installed smog block off plates to allow removal of all of the smog breather tubes and related smog components, new plugs, wires and coils, modified the rear taillight and rear tail piece section, there are also a set of frame sliders that were on the bike when I got it( the left one is a little worn) all of this and some more to the tune of roughly $1200.00 on top of the $700.00 purchase price. I then had to get it to pass a safety brake n light inspection ($20.00)which it did at Southland cycle in Garden Grove. Then I spent over $600.00 to get it registered and current with the DMV. I had been riding it eversince. In short I went through pretty much everything and all the guages and lights function as they should, The bike sat for a little while and now the #1 carb is a little out of tune but othan that she starts right up and runs and rides fine. The only other thing is the exhaust pipe has some scratches as I Did not replace it yet, I have seen a nice Delkevic on Ebay for around $150.00 or a stocker for around $50( this is the only thing that you could really do in terms of cosmetics) I'm trying to be realistic and not asking what the bike isnt worth, the bike is not perfect but it is alot of fun and for the money will be hard to beat. It has a set of Metzler Sportec m-1's that have roughly 1/2 of there tread life left. Do the math a new set of tires woul cost you close to $350.00 installed so for another $500.00 you'll be riding! The bike is in La Mirada if you would like to see it in person, test ride w/deposit and valid motorcycle license. I am now building a Sv650 Streetfighter ( Going for fuel injection and a different look) and must part with this one to make room and recoup a little of my money! This Bike HAS TO GO! Please if you have less than 3 Positive feedbacks please email me prior to bidding as I have recently had to remove some bids on items due to buyers with little on no integrity. listings and fees are not free please respect that. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding.
