UPDATE: 7-23-2010I have had several requests for a Buy-It-Now price so I have added one to the auction. Thanks for your interest! UPDATE: 7-22-2010ITEM#1 A bid was placed on this auction earlier today and retracted shortly thereafter by ebay member soccercats23. The reason given was "cannot contact the seller". This is not true, as there were never any questions asked of me by that member, nor were there any attempts to do so. I answer ALL questions. I will not post all questions as they frequently contain personal information and it would be inappropriate (i.e. if you send me your phone number or include your name in a message, I don't post it for all to see). Ebay rules provide specific circumstances for a bid retraction they are as follows (taken from BID RETRACTIONS from Ebay Help pages):Please remember that every bid on eBay is binding. It is ONLY OK to retract a bid if..., You accidentally enter a wrong bid amount (for example, you bid $99.50 instead of $9.95). If this occurs, re-enter the correct bid amount immediately. The description of an item you have bid on has changed significantly. You cannot reach the seller. This means that you have tried calling the seller and the seller's phone number doesn't work, or you have tried emailing the seller and it comes back undeliverable.PLEASE ask any and all questions you might have before placing a bid. I'm glad to help in any way that I can. Thank you. ITEM#2 I am adding to the auction what I believe to be a set of '68 Cougar bucket seats. They are excellent cores. I will post pictures tomorrow. UPDATE: 7-19-2010Per requests, I have added some pictures of the underside in the back. Looks like about the last 10-12 inches of the frame rail is where the damage is located. Basically from the rear leaf mount back. The rest of the frame rails look really good, as do the floor and shock mounts. Please ask any, and all questions. ---=== NO RESERVE ===--- Please watch my auctions for other Mustang Fastback, Cougar, Fairlane, Cobra 390 / 428 FE parts.Up for sale is my 1969 F-CODE, FACTORY TACH, MUSTANG FASTBACK PROJECT CAR. A good deal of work has been done to this car and a ton of parts have been purchased for it, but it is time for this to be someone else's project. It is a great project car that does still need work to be done and will need parts to complete it. I have already gone through and tossed all of the junk parts that can't be used. Disassembled it to reveal any of the work it needs so their are no surprises, and purchased new or very nice parts for the stuff that was pitched. For what is left, probably the best thing to do would be to purchase a rusty coupe with a good interior for $1,000 to get 99% of what would be needed to wrap this project up. I have about $6,500 into what you see here, and that does not include any of the labor. With a $3,400 starting price and no reserve, someone is going to get a great deal. 9T02FXXXXXX Making this a 1969 Mustang Sportsroof built at Metuchen, NJ with a 302 2V engine. 63A 4 2A 23D 38 3 W Mustang Sportsroof with Silver Jade Paint (#3230-A), Black Kiwi Standard Bucket Seats, Scheduled for build 4/23/1969, from the Pittsburgh Ordering District, with a 2.79 standard rear and a C-4 Transmission. Had the following options: Sports Appearance Group with Tape Stripe C-4 Cruise-O-Matic Transmission Visibility Group E78 x 14 Tires White Sidewall Tires Power Steering AM Radio Color Keyed Racing Mirrors Wheel Covers Tachometer Also includes new door tag with new rivets (original is still present). NO HASSLES: I have a clear Michigan title in my name for this vehicle. I have a deluxe Marti report for it also. It was originally an F-code car with a c-4 transmission, sport mirrors and a factory tach. When I purchased this, the car had been all but stripped. I am including a bunch of new parts and many OEM parts that I have collected for the project. I do have an original factory tach harness (harder to come by than the cluster!) that I will make available to the winning bidder at an additional, but very reasonable fee. The car rolls great and I have hooked the steering up for transportation purposes. The brakes are not hooked up. A good part of the tough work on this project is done. I have replaced the entire front end of the car with new parts. Complete apron frame assemblies for both sides (big block style - see photo) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-1970-MUSTANG-APRON-SHOCK-TOWER-FRAME-ASSEMBLY-LH-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem20b229748eQQitemZ140428014734QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories), new radiator support, export brace, torque boxes, strut rod supports, floor supports, firewall, and a new one-piece floor pan (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-1970-MUSTANG-1-PC-FLOOR-PAN-KIT-DYNACORN-BRAND-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1e5d1c254eQQitemZ130411144526QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories). I have also replaced the cowl assembly with a rust-free original. The inner rockers had small patches at where the torque boxes tied in, but are in otherwise excellent condition. There was also a small patch made on both of the inner wheelhouses, and the top covers of the rear torque boxes were also replaced (the torque box and frame were in excellent shape – still have factory primer). NOT INCLUDED (but pictured): The engine, transmission, motor mounts and trans mount. They will be pulled prior to pick up of the vehicle. LEFT TO BE DONE: The back half of the car needs to be completed. It will need the following (I have all parts new and they ARE included): 2 new rear frame patches, new trunk pan (with drops), 2 new quarter skins, 2 new outer wheel houses, new rear tail light panel, new rear valance (with dual exhaust cut-outs), new deck lid. Some of these might be repairable, but I opted to purchase new metal to replace the bad. There is also a dent in the roof near the drivers quarter window that was left to sit and has developed a couple of pin holes that need to be filled. INCLUDED: I have new front and rear bumpers, new front valance, new hood (unfortunately with a couple of dings from the back side, but easily addressed), good southern fenders that should need very little work, very nice headlight bucket assemblies with good tabs, good quarter extensions. Also included is a complete new suspension and power steering kit from Laurel Mountain (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-1969-MUSTANG-SUPER-SUSPENSION-KIT-GREAT-KIT-/140425590522?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20b20476fa). If memory serves me, it is a one inch drop front and back. It has a 1” front sway bar, 3/4” rear sway bar, gas adjustable shocks front and rear, new heavy-duty leaf springs, new heavy-duty coil springs, new upper and lower control arms, new inner and outer tie rods, new idler arm, new bushings, reconditioned strut rods, center link, cleaned up steering box, core power steering valve, Granada V-8 disc brakes (blasted, primed and painted spindles and dust shields), new rotors, rebuilt calipers painted red with VHT caliper paint, new brake pads, new rear leaf shackles, and new U-bolts.I also have a front, dash and rear A/C harness that have been cleaned up, but may still need a couple of small repairs. Not installed, but included are a blasted, primed and painted hood latch, grill support with hood latch striker, fresh air vents, grill moldings, and several other loose items in boxes. This is a good project with a bit of work left to do, but so much is already done, and so much is new, you can have a great car when you’re done. A $300 deposit is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction via paypal is required. The balance of the auction must be paid in cash at pick up or via bank transfer. The vehicle will NOT leave until a cleared payment has been made in full. I will consider paypal for the balance of the payment if you pay the fees. This is a 41+ year old project that has a lot that has been done to it, and there is more that needs to be done. The body panels are set in place for the photos and nothing has been "fit" to the car, so the gaps aren't perfect, but its coming back apart when you get it home, so that is just fine. I will work with your shipper for pick up of the vehicle. We will need to discuss pick up of the vehicle to work out shipping. I will do what I can to accommodate your shipper, but I do work, so as much notice as possible is appreciated. I am also happy to help with loading the vehicle. Basically, if you have a winch or a couple of guys, we can get it up on to your trailer without any difficulties. I have a nice, long driveway and live on a corner to an open court, so pretty much any transporter or trailer will have easy access and options to load. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BID I have included a lot of details, but its impossible to explain every aspect of this car. Your bid is a legally binding contract to purchase this vehicle, so please bid to win and only bid if you have the money to do so. Pick up to be made within 2 weeks of the end of the auction unless other arrangements have been agreed to. I know a shipper local to me that might be able to get you a decent rate if you are interested. Thank you for checking out my project. It is a good car that just needs to be finished and I am glad to do what I can to help your out. Thank you! About Me, Feedback, Star Ratings, Shipping, and Ebay Fees - please read before bidding. First, thanks for checking out my auction. I am not a dealer, wholesaler, reseller, etc. I am a hobbiest who has parted out a couple of cars in order to raise money for my project vehicles. It's how I finance them. From these vehicles, I sell the parts. They are used. Most times they can't be tested and I will state this in the auction. I won't sell junk. Some parts are rare, or tough to find in good cosmetic condition, so in some cases I will sell a part that does not work which will be clearly stated in the auction. I always pack an item as if I was sending it to myself and I wanted it to ship as cheaply as possible and arrive undamaged. Some items I have to guess at weights or shipping, so shipping may look high. I refund all overages greater than $1, and invoice all shortages of $1 or more. I make no attempt to profit on shipping. As a car guy who buys here also, I don't like it when sellers profit on my shipping as well. On rare occasion I will charge a fee for materials when I need to purchase a large box (can cost me as much as $12) or specific packing materials. I am mentioning all of this because it leads back to feedback, star ratings, and fees. Feedback on Ebay has a direct impact on your ability to reach sellers, and the fees that Ebay charges the sellers to sell. Typical fees can run you approaching 20% of the final sale price on an item between Ebay and PayPal fees. It's a lot of money and the rates only go up. However Ebay does off discounts to sellers who keep their star ratings high. Any star rating of less than a 5 hurts a seller and can potentially cost them money. Any feedback less than positive can have the same impact. A $20 BIN item that I recently listed cost me $1.70 to list because I added photos, and $2.40 after it sold. With PayPal fees it was roughly 30% of the sale price!Because the star rating and feedback rating have become very important I would like to request that if you ever feel the need to leave me anything less than 5 stars and positive, please contact me first and give me a chance to discuss your concerns with you. Thanks for your consideration, your bids and your purchases.302, 289, 351, 390, 427, 428, 429, 460On Jul-23-10 at 10:41:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added in a set of low-back bucket seats. they are either excellent cores, or OK drivers - up to you. Please see the added picture of the seats. They are black and DO include the seat backs, but no seat tracks. Thanks!
