Up for auction is this beautiful 1972 Cadillac Eldorado convertible (one of 7,975) with only 56,767 miles. Recently out of long-term hibernation, it was fitted with a brand new black convertible top and glass window (works perfectly) with matching black parade boot, as well as new brakes, muffler, and period correct BF Goodrich Silvertown L78-15 whitewall tires. The 8.1 liter, 500 cubic inch V-8 (rated @ 365 HP net) has a great sound to it, and the car floats down the highway at 70 mph exactly like a Cadillac should. The black and burgundy interior is extremely comfortable, in excellent shape, and the trunk compartment is detailed to match the interior. The accessories/option list is extensive, so here goes... Power steering, power brakes, power windows, power convertible top, power door locks, power seat, tilt/telescopic steering, cruise control, heavy-duty cooling and charging systems, air conditioning/heat with automatic climate control, AM/FM 8-track stereo system, remote control trunk lock release, rear de-fogger, bumper strips, L78-15 whitewall tires, and Firemist paint! As the detailed pictures show, this Eldorado convertible is really a visual knockout- but please note that it is NOT a flawless show car. The paint and body obviously shows and photographs quite well, but it has the usual scratches, chips, dings, repairs and "previous owner who should have never been allowed to use touch up paint" syndrome that is normal on a nice daily driver. This is a car that you can proudly display at the local show & shine, but won't have a panic attack if somebody at the mall parks too close!
