Vehicle Detail
This is for a 2004 Suzuki SV650 that was converted into a track racing motorcycle. Ive had the bike since 2006 and i rode it on the street for 1 year and then I had it professionally converted into a race bike. The old plastics were all replaced with lighter replaceable racing fairings that eliminated the headlights, tail lights, turn signals, and any other stuff that was excess weight that wasn't needed on the track. In addition, I had a Penske Racing shock installed worth $900 and new front fork shocks. I also installed a $400 Scotts steering dampener for high speeds as well as a new chain and upgraded sprocket. There is also a $500 Yoshi pipe installed that provides excellent air flow. The rubber brake-line hosing was also replace with braided wire hosing for faster braking response and the whole bike was secured with wire twist ties around any bolts and parts that could possibly come loose while on the track. (in accordance with many track rules that ive been to, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to name one...) The racing fairings are also set up underneath the bike to catch any fluids that could possibly leak from the bike if something were to go wrong and it holds the required amount of fluid to meet safety standards at most tracks. I also had the original foot-pegs replaced with upgraded movable pegs and I had a race shifter installed that changes the shifting pattern to 1 up 5 down, instead of the stock 1 down 5 up. There is also a power commander for the engine installed and i just replaced the battery less than a week ago. The bike has been laid down on the track however I had it professionally restored and it runs great. There was never any damage to the frame or engine but i had the handlebars fixed as well as a new set of fairings. The kickstand was also eliminated and replaced by knobs that sit on the stand as you can see in the photo. The bike does need some small maintenance though such as a new brake handle that broke, new brake fluid, a new plastic windshield, and some minor fairing adjustments, which after taken care of the bike will be race ready. This really is a good deal considering how much has been installed on this bike in upgrades and all the hard work has already been taken care of. So if you are looking for a fun weekend track bike or even a competitive race bike, this is an excellent buy. If you have any questions or want more pictures, please don't hesitate to email me.
