1980 Datsun 280ZX. A great classic sports car with classic lines. This is a very nice find. I"ve owned some older and newer models of the 280 series, and this one is pretty clean all around. No problems starting or going; drives well , with quick pick up, acceleration, and speed. Brakes are good, Auto tranny shifts well. Body is straight and metallic light blue paint is smooth and shiny. Only a few scattered tiny dings , but overall very clean. Appears that it might have had a re-paint a few years ago in the original color. Original Datsun rims have been re-painted in an Aluminum color. All rubber, chrome and mouldings are in great shape. Engine was powerwashed and detailed. INTERIOR: Not bad for a 30 year old sports car, but she does have some flaws; Dash is cracked in several places. seats have some rips in the bottom cushion, Carpet is great shape, no rips or stains. Console has no cracks, armrest is intact but shows signs of being used. All lights and instruments work, Stock stereo works, with power antenna as well. horn and signals work. Speedometer is not working. windows roll up and down good, weatherstripping is in good shape. headliner has no rips and is not sagging. armrests firm and intact. Rear carpet was replace and is new, but in 3 separate pieces, one of the storage "buckets" is missing. Interior was cleaned and detailed. Here are the flaws: pas. front wheel well chrome stick on moulding is loose/damage in the front part; hatchback lid does not stay up, foam pad in trunk is warped and also a side panel in trunk. one of the gas tank straps is not attached. This car has no rust on it except in a small spot on the front of the windshield, by the vent.Registration is current (July 2010), A very nice and clean good performing Z, with lots of zip!! ********** PAYMENT TERMS ARE AS FOLLOWS: I accept: C.O.D if you are local, m.o., cashier's check, personal check (allow to clear). I go through the car and do a check list of what is working or not, and any defects. I also drive the car for a few days to see how she "feels". Car was bought at a Benefit sale and title is in the name of the donor (the previous owner), But it's signed by them, and I have the bill of sales that go with it. Most cars come from affluent communities where the owner's buy a new vehicle and donate there "old" one for a tax write off. I've been buying cars at charity events for years and everyone makes out.
