ORIGINAL FACTORY 396 CHEVROLET IMPALA CUSTOM WITH MATCHING NUMBERS !! I HOLD ONLY TRUE NO RESERVE AUCTIONS!! Not too many of these Big Block 396 Impala Customs were produced and definately not many left! Here is one that is 100% complete and would make an excellent restoration or father/son project. This Impala should be considered a big step above just a project car as it is a complete numbers matching car with only minor imperfections. This auction also has NO RESERVE, high bid takes it home. Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! This Impala has been in our indoor storage for several years. It is still in original condition, but is unrestored and does have its needs, please consider this when placing your bid. Cosmetically, this Impalas body only has 1 good size dent on the passenger fender (see pics) and a smaller repairable "ding" on the passenger 1/4 panel. The rest of the body is very straight and near perfect! As far as trim, I only see the "E" missing off the hood, antennae, and passenger fender trim missing, everything else is intact. Trunk lock needs replaced and there is very slight lip damage where the old trunk lid was pried at. I have inspected the vehicle and taken shots of the undercarriage and the only rust I have discovered is the usual repairable spots at the left and right trunk body mounts (see pics). The floors and undercarriage look excellent! Windshield has a crack and the drivers door glass needs replaced. Both front turn signal lenses need replaced. I would replace shocks, some bushings were replaced a few years ago in the front end and still look new. The interior is original and complete down to the factory radio. Seats will need recovered, but springs and cushion are solid. Dash and dash pad are well above average condition! Steering wheel horn piece is loose. Mechanically, the factory 396 engine runs excellent, no knock, smoke or noises! We have had it in storage for quite some time, so I would recommend a fuel system flush and the usual fresh fluid/gas changes and for a stored vehicle. I have in hand the clean and clear California title on this Impala. registration was up on July 10th 2010 but I have placed the vehicle on non-op status with DMV, so no back fees are due.
