This 1983 Mercedes 300CD was finished in burgundy with tan (palomino color MB Tex) interior . It is a gorgeous color combination and i do get compliments on it every time i drive it . The paint looks much more like on a brand new car than what you would expect on a 27 year old classic . There are no dents or scratches at all and it still shines like new . The chrome is extremely nice and it looks great with the dark burgundy color . The interior is very clean and you can see , that this car was mostly garaged . The wood is gorgeous and even the dashboard is free of cracks . The are in great condition and the carpets are clean . The whole car has been taken care of very well . It has only 119k miles on it and this is considered very low mileage for this kind of car . If they are maintained right , they are known to go over 500k miles . This car drives better than many new cars today . It cruises effortlessly with 90 mph while still averaging 27 mpg of diesel . It feels very solid at higher speeds and has plenty of pick up in town as well . It is not slow at all . The transmission shifts the way it should . There are no known issues at all . All the instruments are working well . All the power door locks, sunroof , radio antenna and the windows are functioning properly. I took some pictures with all the windows up and all the windows down . The original radio was replaced with a newer unit featuring a cd-player . But i also still have the original radio as well .  This car would be perfect for a car collector as well as somebody planning to drive it every day . I would not hesitate to drive this car to New York tomorrow .  I would really like to sell it to somebody local who could come by and see it before , but i would also be willing to help with shipping arrangements or a airport pick up .
