Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1950 Chevy 2DR coupe project. This car run’s and drives and all the mechanicals are done. Here is what was done so far. I installed an (air bag-it brand) air suspension system on the car . It has full digital programmable ride height control with 8in bags in rear and 7inbags up front. I kept the original drive train and made a custom five link in the rear with 10in of travel up and down. The front end is all new and has two and half inch drop up rights from Fat Man Fabrication and new stainless steel king-pins with needle bearings (no bushings!). I was able to retain the stock front end and all the original parts, this way if something wares out its easy to fix plus this type of front end doesn’t use ball joint that ware out fast on bagged cars. This car has all new braking system, all lines, shoes, hoses, wheel cylinders, hard ware and master cylinder have been replaced. The car stops on a dime and the emergency brake holds excellent . The engine is all stock and runs great, the engine had a total reseal job done to it, new rear main seal and front crank seal. I replaced the head gasket and installed new valve seals and the cylinders look like new. I painted and detailed the motor but from the pictures it’s hard to tell. The car is all converted to 12V system and it has a new one wire alternator and electronic ignition . I installed a new wiring harness in the car and replace the radiator, water pump, fuel pump and fuel line and installed a new gas gauge sending unit. When I had the gas tank down I had it flushed out and installed new filler hoses with clamps. For the body it’s in good shape, the floors are good and the trunk is solid. It looks like the rear lower quarters where replaced and the rockers where work on and the cars body work needs to be finished . The trunk lid is all done and so is the hood, doors and one fender. Here is a list of all new parts that come with the car, all the weather seals for the doors, trunk and hood. Front windshield and rear glass seals, vent window seals, door window channel , all new nuts , bolts and shims for front fenders and grill. New electric wiper motor and turn signal assembly. New rear chrome L.E.D tail lights. Front and rear seats are reupholstered and I have all the old interior parts for the car and new reproduction arm rests for the doors. I have the front bumper and brackets and all the chrome that came off the car and head light buckets. All glass in good shape and not a crack in any of it. I have basically everything to put the car back together . The tires are new Diamond backs wide white walls on good used 15in chrome rims. I have tons of pictures documenting all of the work I did so far on the car. I also installed a new direct fit three speed shifter on the floor and it shift great. I have over $9,000 into this car, not including labor and have all receipts .The car comes with a clean PA title .(NO TRADES NEED MONEY!) If you have any questions or like to see the car please feel free to call me at 203 687 0834. Thanks for looking, Loren
