Vehicle Detail

allthatflys Store 1966 El Camino 350 V8 and 700R4 overdrive- Fun Cruiser Up for sale is a nice 1966 Chevrolet El Camino. It's a great driver and turns heads everywhere. It is Prowler Metallic Purple with black interior and look sharp. The 350 has plenty of power and the 700R4 transmission makes it a joy to crusie down the highway without the motor just screaming away. The tach indicates 2000 RPM at 70 mph and gets around 16-17 miles per gallon! There are no leaks from the motor, trans, radiator, or differential to drip on your garage floor! Motor starts with just the bump of the key and idles smoothly. It runs super, drives tight, and everything works down to the cigarette lighter. The wipers and washer work perfect ad have a new bottle, hoses, and squirters. The turn signals work (and cancel) and have new lenses on the front and back. Here's the details; Motor: Chevy 350 Double hump heads Torker intake with 650 Holley 4175 spreadbore carb New ProComp 50KV HEI and Taylor pro wires Headers with dual exhaust and Borla ProXS mufflers for a good, but not overbearing sound Driveline: 700R4 later version with 30 Spline input (2 years old) Lockup in 4th gear New slip yoke, u-joints, and balanced drive shaft Axle bearings and seals are new Interior New seat upholstry, carpet, door panels, arm rests (and bases), dash pad Speedometer repaced (original was broken, true mileage unknown) Shiftworks SS gauge package (voltmeter version) Older headliner is in great shape, but I have a new one in the box that is included New windshield new window felts and glass runs (no more rattling doors!) Retractable lap belts New walnut steering wheel Turn signal cancel cams The brakes are orignal standard drums in good working order. The car does have power steering and a tight front end. A rfesh alignment was done last week. The front springs and shocks have been repalced to restore the correct ride hight and handling. The wheels are reproduction 15x8 Chevy Rallys with 235/60/r15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A's and fit nicely. Ok, here is the less desireable traits; The paint is older and has a few chips that have been touched up. It shines great, just not new and perfect. There is a couple rust spots in the rear fender wells in front of the wheels, and a coupe small spots in the back floor pans that have been repaired. I cannot say what kind of body work is under the paint, but it's 10 years old and any issues would have come through by now. It also has a very small water leak around the wing windows and the windshiled if you hit it with a power washer, but would consider that normal for its age. It also has an older spray in bedliner that needs a few places touched up, but nothing major. I don't have the original radio either. All in all, this is a very nice driving classic. Is it not a $35000 Barrett Jackson find, but a nice, solid reliable driver that you'll love to be seen in . It's amost annoying, as everyone has to talk to you about it at the gas station, intersections, ectera. I would also entertain a trade for a 1962-72 Chevy Nova or Chevelle as I need a back seat for my little girl. It must be in the same condition as my El Camino for a straight up trade. This is being sold AS-IS due to the vehicle being almost 45 years old. I have a free and clear title (in my name). I will take cash, or a LOCAL cashiers check that I can verify. I also don't offer any shipping, but you'll want to drive this home anyway. Please feel free to ask questions before you bid. I can be reached at 405-412-8104 or through e-bay e-mail. I have this for sale locally, so I do reserve the right to cancel bids and end the auction if it sells to a local buyer first.
