Vehicle Detail
1963 Corvette hard top only roadster. Runs good, complete and ratty enough to be cool to drive as is. Would be a no hassle restoration. Body is straight, with a couple of easy repairs needed to the fiberglass. There is no rust visable, other than a light dusting along the chassis from sitting. Everything is very solid. Paint is old, spotty and tired. Interior is in good original condition and could look great with a little cleaning. All gauges work (the temp gauge may be in-op) as does the original AM-FM radio. Includes a carpet kit that has not been installed. The data plate (vin plate), is missing, but replicas are availible. The engine number matches the pink slip. The info on the spec plate matches the car. The engine has a period Offy manifold with a Holly carb, headers and a Mallory distributor hitched to a 4-speed with a Hurst shifter. Probably has a competition cam as well. These mods are all many years old and lend credence to the story that the car was drag raced in the "60's. It has a great deal of torque, and would be great for someone with strong neck mussles, or some one who wants to develope theirs. It does have power brakes. This is a car that would be great for a hobbyist who can do some of his/her own work. It could be a driving restoration. Included but not shown are the front bumpers, hood grilles, wind shield wiper grills and arms, radio shielding, hard top trim piece, threashold plates, a nicer set of original rear bumpers and a few other odds and ends. Inspection is encouraged. I'm in Orange County, California. You can drive it home, but it hasn't really been on the road for many years, so the belts, hoses and fluids should be gone through before any sort of a long drive. NO RESERVE -- BID TO WIN!
