Up for auction a 1955 Chrysler C300 2 DR Hardtop for restoration. 1 of 1725 built to order in 1955. RARE! RARE! RARE! Tango Red. Odometer shows 11,877 miles, actual miles unknown. The previous owner who bought the car in 1957 informed me that the New Yorker trim, two tone paint and backup lights were added at the dealership by the original owner. The IBM factory punch card interpreted and authenticated by a representative of the Chrysler 300 Club Int. is as follows: build date 5/3/55, model/body type 44 C300 coupe, trim code 50, C300 beige leather interior, paint code 25 tango red, engine serial number 3NE552257, VIN number 3N552225. The C300 was built with power flite transmission, power steering, gear ratio 3.54 to 1, town and country radio/rear speaker, power windows, four way power seat, tinted windows and heater. No outside mirrors standard. The 331 cid Hemi came equipped with two four barrel Carter carburetors, full-race cam, solid lifter, special manifolds, large dual exhausts and a modified Power Flite automatic transmission. This C300 will need complete restoration. All glass intact, diagonal crack in driver's side door window. Original leather seats are protected by plastic seat covers since new. The back seats are in very good to excellent condition and the front seats are very good with no rips or tears evident front or back. Bat Wing air cleaner in original gold color. In addition, an aftermarket A.R.A air conditioner unit (circa 1955) was installed. The compressor still turns. An optional front bumper bar(circa 1955) was also mounted. Also included in this auction ,left and right 1955 Chrysler coupe used quarter panels. The tango red C300 starts and runs ,but is not roadworthy and will need to be trailered. No Maine title. Bill of Sale only.Maine is a non-title state for these older vehicles. I do have a clear title from Ohio for the red C300 from the previous owner. I will accept PayPal for a $500 deposit only.
