I am not going to lie to you, this truck needs attention. The left rear fender has holes inside. Might need a replacement. You can see the drivers floor pan is gone too. Frame is solid with just surface rust and undercoating peeling off. I rebuilt the 4BBL carb with a new kit from Auto Zone. She fired up, we drove it up to the station, got more gas, and it has to be feathered. We think it's the accelerator pump on the carb. She was sitting for a long time. The 318 ran strong, with no smoke or knocks. She sounds great. These came with a slant 6, up to a 440. The 318 was the most popular. The original air cleaner is gone, and I put on a chrome one I had sitting around the garage to protect the carb intake. It also has the original gold spoked Warlock wheels. TRY TO FIND THOSE! The 79's came with the chrome wheels, but the gold ones WERE an option. So either someone ordered these, or changed them. Trans is good along with the rear gears. These came with the 727 transmission, and it looks original. I couldnt cross the rear end as far as gear ratio, but it also looks to be original. The windshield has a dime size stone chip, the rest of the glass is in good shape. Interior as you can see needs restored, but is original. All around the fuel tube is rusted away, including the side step. She has numerous scratches and dents, no accident damage I can see. The hood got either faded or painted flat black. The other 1979 Warlocks I have seen on Google say Warlock II on the tail gates. This one says Warlock by Dodge and was hand painted, along with the gold tape which was also not done by the factory. Tires are good and driveable. All chrome needs restored, but no rot through. All of the wood on the bed floor needs attention too. Someone painted the side rails black, should be natural. They are Warlock rails. Comes with power steering, FM cassette radio, sun roof and heater, and it all works. Didnt pull the wheels for the brakes, but they feel solid. It is a 2 wheel drive. The interior is dead-on Warlock, the exterior has only some of the gold trim left. All the decals can be bought after market. I have seen them here on eBay. You can even get the Warlock II wooden plates for the side rails. A very do-able restorable truck for the price, and great historical one of a kind truck worth putting back together. This is my Dads, and his ambition over took his 85 years. I have my own project, and just dont have the time. This is a real good starting point truck for a restoration. This will bring someone a good return on their work, because these command up to the high 20K' S restored, and get a lot of "cool truck" comments! Not too many of these around. Dont come by and cut this thing up, we know it needs work, and didnt leave anything out. If she was in better condition, we would be asking much more.
