You are bidding on my 1971 Jaguar XKE Coupe (it is NOT a 2 + 2). This is the 8th Jaguar XKE I have owned over the years and by far the finest example of a unrestored, low mile, rust free Jag. The speedometer works fine, is in Kilometers and reads 24386 Km, about 15,000 miles. I have no reason to believe that this is not true and correct. The interior is in excellent condition and the seats and carpets are original to the car. All numbers match and I can not find rust anywhere on the car including the typical places like the floor pans, etc. The car runs and drives perfectly, everything is tight, quiet and smooth. The paint is very presentable except for minor flaws in the bonnet. All of the glass and chrome is in good condition, the mufflers were just replaced and with the exception of some of the rubber pieces showing their age the car needs no work. I have purchased the rubber but have not replaced it yet, it comes with the car. The jack and toolkit are included along with very nice red line Michelin tires. The previous owner owned the car for 25 years and I do not know the history prior to 1985. I have kept the car in a climate controlled storage when not in use and it is only driven once or twice a month on nice days. It is very difficult to find an original, unrestored, unmolested, rust free, low milage Jag in this condition. The car was built in December 1970 and I am told it is one of only twelve 4.2 litre coupes that were sold in 1971 - prior to the V12 Type III.
