This 1971 Mercedes 250C was purchased on August 17, 1971 at Mayer Motors in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It spent most of its life near Asheville, NC, where the original owners kept it at their summer home until 2007 and only drove it seasonally (hence the absence of rust and the very low miles). I am the third owner. This is an extremely original, correct, unmolested, and well-preserved 250C that needs nothing to be enjoyed as a weekend car or as a daily driver. It gets many compliments wherever it goes. EVERYTHING on this car functions correctly--down to the original Becker Europa radio, the clock, etc. The A/C blows ice cold. The car runs, drives, and handles beautifully, and on 4/6/2010, $2,157.00 worth of repairs and adjustments were done at a local specialist in vintage Mercedes. The interior is excellent shape, and the car is amazingly rust free (for example, see the photos of the wheel arches). The paint shows well, but it's at best an average quality repaint. This is a great opportunity to own a fully-sorted, pre-emissions W114 coupe. These cars are getting rare, especially in such good condition, and with such low miles.
