1970 Chevy four wheel drive pickup for sale. This truck was purchased new by my father in 1970, and it has been in my posession for 21 years. See more pictures http://s755.photobucket.com/home/ready_time/recentuploads?view=slideshow PROS It is in good running condition and I have used it mainly for hunting, winter driving, lumber runs, trips to the dump etc. Rebuilt 400 small block engine installed about 12000 miles ago. Holley carb, weiand intake, MSD electronic ignition and distributor. Oil and filter changed every 3000 miles....religiously! Heavy duty 700R4 non lockup 4 speed auto transmission purchased new from Jet Performance products ($2800 plus installation) in 2003. Rated for 450 HP by Jet. With the extra overdrive gear this truck is great on the highway! Again, this is a NON LOCKUP convertor, which eliminates the big flaw these had from the start. Eaton No Spin posi rear end built by Drivetrain industries in Denver. Extra posi unit, extra non posi unit, axles, 2 good rear brake drums all included. Front diff. is Dana with a Lock Rite posi. I rebuilt the front end several years abo with all new outer u joints, ball joints, tie rod ends etc. All ball joints and tie rod ends are still tight, replaced front cv shaft,replaced U-joints. Factory A/C blows cold. Recent rebuilt compressor, all new hoses, reciever dryer, etc from LMC Truck. Currently charged with R12. The radiator was rebuilt two years ago, and it has an auxilliary transmission oil cooler as well. Factory tachometer, tilt wheel, Locar shifter, stock front power disc brakes, new radiator, 100 amp alternator 10,000 LB Braden PTO winch, engine driven with a Chelsea power takeoff mounted on transfer case, in/neutral/out knob under dash, dash throttle control (factory), engine kill switch in the grille. Winch can also forward and reverse using the transmission. Original stock 16 inch steel wheels, original hubcaps, Aluminum camper shell, spare tire. Springs rebuilt and rearched with leaves added. This was done by Denver Spring. Rubber cab mounts replaced. This truck has little rust to speak of but some is showing up here and there. The body was gone over and it was repainted inside and out 13 years ago. There is no bondo and very little rust in the cab and front clip, so from the cab forward it's a very solid truck. The truck has tons of low end grunt and is great to drive. It has been sorted out over the years with many little details and refinements over the years. Virtually every component on this truck was rebuilt, repaired, re-sealed or replaced at one time or the other. This has been my pet project and toy for many years. Many spare parts, glass, etc included with the truck. You get all I have . I do have the original front bumper too. I have two bad shoulders and a bad back so it's time to say goodby to this truck that has been with me since I was in high school. IT is STRONGLY recomended that you inspect this truck prior to buying. It is available to see and drive, contact me. CONS The windshield is cracked. The bed has dents and scrapes on the right side, and old bondo on the left side, in fact, the bed is the worst thing about the truck. I have hauled stuff!
