~~oo00oo~~ Rolls-Royce Silver Spur 1982 Absolutely stunning ORIGINAL condition & presentation with excellent 101% AutoCheck Score Here presenting a Rolls-Royce Silver Spur in beautiful "Sea Spray" with authentic hand-painted fine lines in "Coffee" to the waist lines and an Everflex top. It has coordinating Coffee Connolly hide interior with cream piping. The floor rugs carry the same theme. This is a 1 owner Californian car up until 2006 and a meticulously preserved example. Following this period it was purchased by a Rolls-Royce enthusiast/collector who was a lover of the 1981-1989 series Rolls-Royce and made sure everything on this fine example was as perfect as practicably possible for its age. In fact, under his caretaker-ship the car travelled less than 1,000 miles in some 4 years. It is a particularly smooth and quiet driving example. If you have driven various Spirits/Spurs you will be surprised just how nicely she drives in comparison to most. There are no rattles, bumps, thumps and knocks otherwise so typical of these models. She really is a credit to her previous "caretakers". Everything is 100% original Rolls-Royce and maintained to factory standards. Several Rolls-Royce upgrades have been added including 1990 genuine Rolls-Royce Flying Spur alloy wheels – these were at a cost of some $3,000. (The “Flying Spur” model was a rare limited production turbo-charged Spur that had Bentley Turbo R style wheels with “RR” motives). Other additions include a later model RR 3rd brake light and “Euro” style headlamps (seen only on 1992 onwards North American cars) as opposed to the ugly individual square lamps. The interior has minor trim upgrades (The only non-factory item is a modern CD-radio system). As a result the car not only looks stunning but gives it the appearance of a mid 90’s example. The Silver Spur is the long wheel base version of the Silver Spirit. With an extra 4” of rear leg room, the back seat passenger area is enormous. Plus the car is much better proportioned than the Spirit which adds a truly private limousine style to its presentation. This Spur is a very well maintained example in very fine condition and presents in virtually perfect condition. All functions and features work to specification. The body and paint is in excellent condition with only the slightest little mark here and there. The paint appears to be a very high quality repaint within the last 5-10 years and is very shiny and deep in lustre. The Everflex vinyl top is truly perfect without a single mark or stain and no seam separation, rust bubbles or dryness typical on these Rolls-Royces. So perfect, that perhaps it was renewed when the car was repainted. It is the original specification Everflex finished in a unique coordinating dark-olive hue (that description may sound ugly but it is very attractive in real-life!). The interior burl walnut wood finishes are in excellent condition with the door cappings absolutely perfect, having been restored by a leading West Coast Rolls-Royce restorer. The Connolly hide is without marks or blemishes and presents very elegantly. (Any lines or color variations you see in the photos are just the natural grains characteristics of Connolly hides which, for some reason, are exaggerated in the photos. In real life, the seats are truly excellent and unblemished). The dash “top-roll” is perfect and without any sign of leather shrinkage or warping otherwise so typical of this model. As a Californian car, this can only mean this example has been garaged most of its life. The trunk is all original with the Wilton wool carpet & leather binding flawless. Simply, it looks like it has never been used! Having spent almost all its life in California, the car is very clean and dry and there are absolutely no signs of rust or rust repair. The interior door jams and edges are clean and crisp and very original with no ugly overspray or sign of age. Mechanically the car has been well maintained. The condition and presentation under the hood is excellent testimony to this. Recent service includes a rear height accumulator and hydraulic/brake service. Pressures and ride heights are according to correct RR specifications. Tyres are brand new (in the last few weeks) and so sport 100% tread. The car has an excellent "AutoCheck Score" that exceeds the medium range (it scores 83 out of a 69 to 82 range!). Please check out the history by clicking on the "History Report" tab above this description. This car has only recently come to Illinois to join its siblings as part of an interesting collection by a long standing Rolls-Royce and Bentley collector and enthusiast. The car has not seen snow and is climate control stored. ~~ The car is an excellent testament to the strive of originality and “as-new” presentation. Show-casing as an original looking “mid 90s” Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, this is a beautiful and very fine example that presents as a true 9½ out of 10 driver. You could confidently drive this Spur “as-is” to your next Rolls-Royce meet and show it with with pride. ~~ **PLEASE read terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** This is NOT a typical 1982 Silver Spur and as such will command considerably more than average prices. Notwithstanding, reasonable offers will be considered. Many additional photos are available at the following link. I recommend all interested buyers to review these to best appreciate not only the cars stunning condition but also all the upgrades this car proudly sports: Click HERE to see additional photos! ~~oo00oo~~ ~~oo00oo~~ This Rolls-Royce is part of my private collection. I am not a retail car dealer; I am a professional car collector of some 25 years with considerable experience and knowledge of Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars. I have a long standing reputation associated with the marque which I take seriously. I take a lot of pride in my cars and have fun in collecting and restoring them. However, auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or offer, and you are the winning bidder; please understand you have entered a binding contract. A $2000.00 deposit (non-refundable) will be required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check or bank wire. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released. If all the funds are not received as indicated above, I reserve the right the keep the deposit and resell the vehicle by re-listing or to another bidder. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost. As a collector and experienced restorer of the marque, I make every effort to bring my cars to a very high standard but the very nature of these classic Rolls-Royces is such that it is not always possible to attend to every single item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked an item. Further, a feature or function that is working perfectly one moment, may decide to play-up the next. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition: The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are made with reasonable judgment and all efforts are made to ensure fair assessment and accuracy but they are for descriptive and identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. The seller shall not be responsible for errors in description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, unforeseen imperfection, defect or damage. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer’s request prior to the close of the auction. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle. I can hold the vehicle up to 30 days while you arrange shipping but you must immediately insure it. I will not bear any responsibility for any costs including storage, transportation, or repair after the close of the auction. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-20 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”. At least, I have never done that. I have always professionally transported the cars from where I bought them to my home. PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, DO NOT BID.
