Up for bids is my 1955 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. This car has all the options available in 1955, including power windows, seat, brakes, steering, auto eye and very rare factory air conditioning. Odometer shows a little over 75,000 miles and is probably actual. This Coupe was last running several years ago. It still turns over freely and I don't think it would take a lot of work to get it running again. I bought this car out of Kansas, so the exterior body is very solid. However, it will need some rust repairs. The passenger side floors need replacing. The previous owner got carried away with a cut off wheel and removed too much metal. I cut an entire rust free front to back passenger floor section out of another Coupe I parted to use in this car. That floor section is included with this car. The driver's side front floor needs a small patch. The driver's rear is solid. The frame and all body mounts are solid. The spare tire well needs replacing and a good one is included. There are also a couple small holes at the back of the trunk floor as indicated in the pictures. As mentioned before, the exterior body is very solid. There are only a few tiny rust holes as shown in the pictures. When I got the car, it had the original sun baked paint that the prevoius owner started to chemically strip. I painted the car flat black to cover the bare metal areas and give the car a rat rod look. The original color was pale yellow with a white roof. All the trim is with the car and is in good condition. The grill is excellent. The lower front bumper section has one rust hole. The rear bumper ends have rust in them also. The interior needs work. The windshield has a rock chip and the passenger side door glass is cracked. All the other glass is good. All in all, this is a '55 Coupe that needs work, but is well worth the effort.
