I purchased this low mileage Mark V from the estate of the original owner approximately 5 years ago. The original owner was a dealer, and had several other low mileage 70's luxury vehicles. In addition to being showroom fresh at just 4851 original miles, this Cartier Mark V has always been garaged and properly maintained in our dry rust free Colorado climate. This example has the 460 CI V-8 which runs smoothly, and the automatic transmission is leak free and shifts effortlessly. An add on electric fuel pump keeps the car running smoothly in summer months, and the engine and trunk compartments are spotless and like new. The original spreadbore carb has been replaced with a better performing carb, but is available for the purist who may wish to reinstall it. The paint is original in near perfect condition with only three small chips on the driver side front fender and one very small dent near the front of the hood; all of which could be easily repaired. The matching vinyl top is in perfect condition as are all vinyl side mouldings brightwork and chrome. The original michelin tires are not checked or cracked having ample tread and still showing the factory ford emblem on the balancing weights. To the best of my knowledge, these tires have never been off the car, delivering a factory smooth ride at 70mph. Leather seating is like new and flawless, as are carpets, floor mats, door panels and glass. Climate control is functioning, however, AC system does need charging. 8 track quadraphonic AM/FM stereo works as it did when new as do the power seats, automatic headlights, windows, tilt steering, cruise control, and power antennae. The cartier clock with date display is not currently working. This near perfect lincoln was top of the line when new, and still delivers luxury, style, and performance 32 years after it rolled off the assembly line. This beautiful car would be an asset for any collector who appreciates what the 70's had to offer. Reasonable reserve is set for quick sale.
