Vehicle Detail
This is a 1984 Mercedes Benz 280SEL European edition, this car was not made available in the USA so these are very hard to find state side. As this car was not made in the states, the vin was not accepted in the listing so here it is. Prefix 3, Vin: WDB1260231A085569, suffix Z. It no longer runs, I believe this is an electrical problem. It started up last year, but since then it hasn't been started and when I tried to start it up it wouldn't turn over. Paint is peeling, I've taken pictures of the worst of it. I did a once over and there was no trouble rust spots, I did find very small spots along the corner of the hood and near the driver side door. Car will have to be picked up. Winning bidding contact me and we can setup an appointment. You must come here in person and pay with cash in hand, if there are other circumstances where you cannot message me and we can work something out. Also if you would like to see it in person thats fine too, just contact me and I'll tell you when you can stop by. Any other questions feel free to ask. Here's some links to information about the car, I find it's hard to come by on information on this card. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_W126#W126_.281979-1985.29 you will find the model listed under "W126 (1979-1985)" http://www.w116.org/ Site dealing with these cars which has a brief intro about its history and performance http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=192676#a_general And an overall in depth specifications on the car itself On Jul-11-10 at 03:01:51 PDT, seller added the following information:just a side note, if the auction ends without a bidder I will be donating the car where it will most likely be parted out. I hate to do it, but it has to go but I would appreciate it if I knew someone that valued the car would get it
