Vehicle Detail
I purchased this truck Nov 2008 (my first winter in MN) in Rogers MN, then drove it to Mankato MN. After getting the truck to Mankato I drove it around town and a few times to St Peter. I don't know how many owners this truck has had, and I know the person who sold it to me was NOT the original owner. This truck is not pretty, I will not go into detail about all the rust instead I will say that there is a lot of rust. The truck has a number of dents and bent metal, which goes along with the overall body rust. The bed has a topper, which doesn't appear to leak but the door to it is broken and can be an issue staying up. The truck bed has a liner, which I have never removed but I believe the bed is as rusted as the rest of the truck. The driver's side door lock sticks, but the passenger side always works fine. Both windows roll up and down without any issues. The 4x4 works and engages / dis-engages from in the truck. The heater and A/C work, I am not sure but they seem to work as good as I remember any of these older small truck heater or A/C. I had a tire go down on me so it was replaced, all 4 tires seem good and have a good amount of tread left. Radio antenna is bent / broken and lays on the truck cab, but it still works. The 5 speed transmission works and I have not noticed any issues. This truck had some electrical issues, so I had the alternator and battery replaced Jan 2009. The battery was a NAPA battery and under warranty, so the replacement was actually to put in a larger battery just in case. The dash lights didn't work sometimes, so the dimmer switch was replaced and fix that issue. Electrically the radio works, but 2 things: there is a CD stuck in the radio since before I got the truck and if you leave the truck sit for weeks it can erase your pre-set stations. I believe the biggest issue this truck had was that it leaked gas. When I drove it to work I only put in a few gallons of gas at a time. This meant I stopped for gas a lot during winter, which turned me off to the truck. The tank has been replaced and the leaking is fixed. Shipping: Lets be realist, this is a low cost truck there is no logical reason to ship this truck so please don't ask. Payment: $100 deposit (paypal or cash) required within 24 hours of auction end or offer acceptance. Full payment (paypal or cash) required before title transfer and vehicle pick-up.
