Vehicle Detail
For sale is this gorgeous raven black '69 Mach 1 that has been totally restored and needs nothing. It is a very rare color combination with white deluxe interior and charcoal colored stripes which gives this car a very stealth look to it. The car was born in these colors and with this engine/trans combo. This is a real "S" code big block, 390 4-speed car (although I do not beleive the engine to be numbers matching). No expense was spared in a complete restoration on a rust free Arkansas car. One of only 354 cars with this paint/trim code, this Mach 1 has the high back deluxe white comfort weave bucket seats, rim-blow deluxe steering wheel, am-fm stereo radio(original version upgraded with new digital technology), built in original tachometer, rare teak colored woodgrain trim (not the more common dark walnut color), power steering and power front disk brakes added and a set of new B.F. Goodridge raised letter radial tires. The body on this car is absolutely laser straight and is all metal, no bondo. The fit and finish on all panels is where it should be. No uneven gaps and consistent throughout. There is no rust anywhere on this car. Paint finish is extraordinary with no scratches or chips. This is a high quality car that is always in the top 5% of show cars at any event and is a real head-turner that sounds as good as it looks. The one word I consistently hear people say when they see this car is "sweet". Everything on this car works, including the quartz updated clock. The list of improvements and upgrades is lengthy and includes a new Centerforce clutch, completely rebuilt 9" traction-loc rear end, dual Flowmaster mufflers and exhaust system, new rear leaf springs adjusted for proper height control, Igniter II electronic points upgrade, new platinum plugs, wires, coil, wiring harness, voltage regulator, alternator, gas adjustable rear shocks, heater core and hoses, new universal joints and the list goes on. As I've said, the car needs nothing and drives as you would expect. Care was taken to keep this car looking as stock as possible but still incorporate a few improvements. For example, power front disk brakes were added to assist in stopping. The engine has a mild cam with a Holley double pumper to improve performance and runs very strong. If you're looking for a turn-key muscle car with classic lines that will turn heads wherever you go, this is the real deal. Car is located in the suburban Chicagoland area and has a clean title. Please see the Marti Report attached for more information about this car. If interested, please call my cell phone at 630-750-3085 for further details. I am not a dealer and I have owned and cared for this car since 2001. Restoration photos are also available. This car will not dissapoint you. No dealers or tire kickers please. Thanks for looking.
