This is a diamond in the rough and a real find for the collector on the hunt. 1969 BICK BLOCK X-22 Coded RS/SS 396 375 hp. One of only 167 produced, sheet metal work has already begun, all floor pans have been re-done, JH 396 - 375hp block included. although it is the original engine to the car it is the year correct block. This is a real Big Block Convertible, very rare 167 produced, ??? survived. Production date corresponds to the production time period of the 396 RS/SS Z-11 Pace Cars/REPLICAS. Note: Production Date: (O3E) end of March 69 (Z-11 Pace Cars/Replicas were only produced in March 69);(55)- Exterior Color Azure Turquiose/Dover White Stripes, (A)-White Convertible Top, (X22)-396 RS/SS, (D80)-front and rear spoiler package, (729) - Ivory Hounds Tooth Custom Bucket Interior ( the only convertibles to receive the hounds tooth interiors were RPO Z-11 pace cars/X-22 replicas, these cars were only produced in March of 69). The (JH) coded 396- 375 hp L78 big block is the year correct engine for this car. Only 4,889 L78's were ordered for the 69 camaros, even fewer were convertibles. The intersting thing about this car is the X-22 code, given a azure turqoius/dover white stripes, X-22 typically had the SS396 embelm and stripe on the side panels and hood stripes were reserved for the pace cars, however, the pace cars were typically white with orange stripes. Additionally, the X-22's were not given the hounds tooth interiors, but this one is coded 729-ivory white hounds tooth.
