1985 was the last year Mercedes Benz made the gorgeous 123 series 2 door coupe . They only produced 8007 of the diesel version of this car between 1978 and 1985 and a lot less with the turbo charger .  This car was originally sold in February of  1985 to the first owner in Yorba Linda /Ca by Caliber Motors in Anaheim Hills . He traded the car for a newer model in 1990 at Caliber Motors . This is where the second owner bought the car in 1990 and he owned it ever since . He absolutely babied this car over the last 20 years . Every service was done in time and no maintenance was ever deferred . The car comes with all the service records - the stamped service booklet from Mercedes benz . I also did take some pictures of it . This car was always stored in a garage with a cover on it . The dashboard always had an extra cover on it and even the carpets were always protected with two sets of floor mats . For the last 20 years all the windows were tinted to protect the interior from sun damage . I just took off the tint this week since it was showing some wear . The interior of this car is absolutely stunning . The dashboard is in amazing condition , there are no rips or tears in the seats the carpets are clean and soft like when they were new . I did take a lot of pictures , this way you can see it better than i could describe it here .  The body is also in perfect condition . There is no rust of any kind , no dents and all the lines are straight . The paint also still shines like new . It is color code 929 (Nautical blue) with palomino color MB-tex interior . It is a beautiful color combination and it really stands out . This car does not look like your average 25 year old automobile . It is truly exceptional and whoever turns out to be the third owner will not regret it . The second owner retired a couple of years ago and now drives the car even less . He has 2 other cars and the last 2 years the car was driven less than 1000 miles . Within the last 2 years the Air conditioning has been completely gone through and converted to the R134 freon . All the hoses and valves were replaced and it blows ice cold from all the vents. The climate control works perfectly as well . With 120k miles he had the complete engine re-sealed with all new seals and gaskets . He really did not want to deal with any kind of oil leaks . There are no leaks on this car of any kind . Everything is working the way it should including all the windows , power antenna , cruise control , power sunroof and even the original radio still works well . Within the last 2 years the car also received 4 brand new Michelin tires and a new battery . Even though he did not drive the car anymore on a regular basis , he still took it out every 2 weeks to drive it for a few miles and had an oil change done every 3 months . He kept it registered and insured . As a matter of fact the CA registration was just paid again last week and is good until August of 2011 . But now it just does not make sense anymore for him to keep the car and that is why it is here on Ebay now .  It would be perfect for a car collector  or even for somebody who would like to drive it every day . If this car will be kept in the same condition , it should only appreciate in value from now on .  The car comes with 3 sets of keys , a clean California title and registration and the books and records .  I would prefer to sell it to somebody local , who could actually come by , see it and check it out before placing a bid . I would also be willing to have the car checked out by a mechanic in the area . But i would also be willing to help with shipping or a airport pick up . ( Lax is only about 15 minutes from my house).  This is a 25 year old classic car in amazing condition . I can not think of anything it needs . It will be sold "as is" and "where is" and without a warranty.
