This 1971 Chev 4X4 is a really nice clean and original condition truck. The truck was purchased out of oregon from the original owner in 1997 and then it had the cab and box taken off and had the frame sandblasted and undercoated,it also had the original numbers matching 350 v-8 and auto transmission rebuilt,the original Rodchester 4 barrel carburator was rebuilt,there were all new bushing put in the front end and between body and frame....this truck has the dual exhaust properly routed behind the rear wheels and hung the right way, it also has the original GM ram-horns with the cold start valve and intake stove for the factory aircleaner to help the auto choke fuction properly,this truck runs and drives beautiful with no squeeks or rattles and goes down the road true,the transmission is smooth like glass and shifts perfect and tight,transfer case and hub's work wonderful,this truck was built to be a driver 13 years ago and has been in storage for the last 9 years,all the gauges work perfect and light up at night as they should...heck even the gear indicator lights up like it should,the wipers and washer are original and work perfect,this truck should have inside the wheel wells and frame scraped and coated again as it is flaking off but we didnt want to do it so people could see how clean the truck is,in the pictures the rust you see is surface ONLY and we didnt want it to look we were making it pretty to sell like so many out there do....we have the original certificate of ownership from 1971 and buildsheet...the only thing this truck needs is to be cleaned up and detailed but that is the fun part of doing it yourself and watching your progress...very original and still has alot of its original paint and even the cardboard gas tank protector behind the back seat....This truck isnt perfect but its a 40 year old hard to find gem!! On Jun-25-10 at 07:53:08 PDT, seller added the following information: The miles on this truck listed are actual from what i have been told,also i do have the original owners manual,plastic chev bag,build sheet and original title from 71 that shows "canceled" on it due to having a new wisconsin title issued in 97 all in very good condition.On Jun-28-10 at 16:29:33 PDT, seller added the following information: The engine in this truck has 50lbs of oil pressure at operating temp at idle and is flawless. makes no noises or knocks,it has been rebuilt according to stock spec's...no big cams or any of that...the carburator has been rebuilt also and has small jets in it as the previous owner was trying to get the best possible gas mileage he could for driving to work and back,he redid this truck instead of buying new so he needed a dependable vehicle and this is!!
