1964 Corvette. Original local Toronto Canada car with ownership history to 1975. The car has never been restored. It has been maintained in excellent shape and has never been fooled around with. The pictures were taken June 9 2010. Car was safety checked last fall and has been driven 300 miles since. 327-365 NOM in original 327-365 car. Four speed. Has Hurst shifter, power windows and brakes and leather interior. Cylinder heads, and manifolds, etc. appear to be original. The car runs extremely strong. Interior carpet and seats very recent . Door panels and dash pads original and excellent. Interior is excellent. Mechanically excellent "drive anywhere" Car. See pictures of reciepts. Always starts first crank. Nearly $10,000 in reciepts to keep in meticulous mechanical condition. The heater core developed a small leak and was disconnected last week. The paint in dark green and is twenty five years old. The original colour is Tuxedo Black.It looks amazing from five feet away but could use a paint job to bring it up to the condition of the rest of the car. There are minor imperfections in the paint and a couple of 25 yr old bubbles (see last picture) near passengers headlight. There is evidence of a collision repair at the passengers front corner. It was repaired professionally prior to the 25 yr old repaint and is not noticeable (the appraiser missed it, as did the Police officer who owned it for the previous 15 years). All bonding strips are in place. I would describe it as to good to bother repainting; however, if you want perfection, this is the car to start with. The frame is solid and has never been rusted. The top has had a cut of about 1/2 inch repaired on the drivers side. The window is clear and unscratched. The chrome is outstanding. It has been redone very well at some time and is flawless Tires have only about 5,000 miles on them. They are old but are not dry rotted. This is a drive anywhere car that needs nothing other than to be enjoyed. It has been well respected all of it's life, spending the last fifteen years in heated storage. It is an excellent driver/survivor. The reserve has been set low as I have sold the property where it has been stored. The Corvette needs to be picked up within ten days after the close of the auction. Bid to win and enjoy it. The car can be picked up in Toronto. Arrange to view the car prior to bidding as the auction will be binding. The winning bidder agrees to send a bank draft, or certified check, drawn on a major bank for one thousand dollars as a deposit within seventy-two hours of the auctions end. I need the parking space so am not interested in trades no matter how nice they may be. This your chance to get a great deal as I don't need to get the last $5,000 out of the car. I do have an apprasial for $43,000 +/- in hand and will sell it for well below it's appraised price. Mechanically, you can drive it with confidence. I have driven it 600 miles in the last ten days. The only mechanical deficiency is that the heater core has been bypassed. It developed a small leak and will need to be repaired. The Corvette is registered to me and is free and clear. I have the title/ownership in hand. There are no loans or liens on the Corvette. Good luck!
