Vehicle Detail

Normal.dotm 0 0 1 654 3728 UC Davis 31 7 4578 12.0 0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false The original Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 60 was available for purchase from 1981 through 1987. It is a front engine four-door wagon that has available seating of five to seven. It is well known in the off-roading community for its tremendous 4X4 capabilities, despite being somewhat limited by its poor departure angle. The FJ60 was offered in the following solid exterior colors: Alpine White, Brown, Desert Beige, Freeborn Red, Royal Blue; and in the following metallic exterior colors: Charcoal Gray, Cognac, Gray-Blue, Rootbeer, Sky Blue, Stardust Silver. In contrast to the FJ62, the FJ60 exhibits the classic round Land Cruiser headlights that are replicated now on the retro-style FJ Cruiser. As you can see from the photos, this 1987 cruiser offered for sale is in the classic Stardust Silver color. This is a simple, reliable, curiously tough no-frills SUV – a true original. This FJ60 Cruiser is equipped with the 2F engine and a 4-Speed manual transmission and comes with power steering, air conditioning dual heaters and manual, locking wheel hubs. Specifics of the vehicle for sale include: Model FJ 60 Manufacturer Toyota/TLC Year 1987 Body Style 4-Door Wagon Seating Capacity Five to Seven Drive-train Front Engine, 4x4 Engine 4.2 liter OHV Inline 6 cylinder Fuel System Carbureted Horsepower 135 @ 3600 rpm Torque 210 ft-lbs. @ 1800 rpm Transmission 4-Speed Manual Wheelbase 107.5 in. MPG Estimate 11/18 FEATURES Power Steering & Air Conditioning Front & Rear Heaters Excellent On or Off-Road Capability Classic Timeless Design Unmatched Reliability and Durability Retro-Cool Rugged Styling I currently own two 1987 FJ60 Land Cruisers and one has got to go. The one I am selling has 120,678 original miles and was totally redone with a whole new interior, new sound system, partial new suspension and a number of other custom items. The previous owner has fixed typical rust spots on the truck, and has added some additional gadgets as well. As you can see from the pictures, the truck really looks great. It also starts right up on the first try every time and runs strong. The interior is exceptional for a vehicle that is 23 years old. It was completely redone with new leather seats and a new stereo. As with many of these trucks originally based on the east coast (New Jersey), there is some rust. However, the previous owner paid over $1,500 to have it removed and some small spots repainted (as well as doing a lot of the work himself). As you can see from the photos, the truck is striking in appearance. There is still considerable rust on the underside, but nothing that is unusual for these SUV's and little is visible unless you're under the truck and looking up. I only mention this in the interest of being fair and providing full disclosure. Cosmetically, there has been considerable work done on this truck but at the same time, I don't want anyone buying this thinking it is a show truck. This landcruiser is a head-turner as is. A summary of the options and extra work done on the vehicle includes: completely redone custom grey leather seats, door panels and carpet (have receipt for this work); 6 cylinder, 4 speed - works flawlessly; 4 wheel drive engages in all ranges (4L/4H/etc.), new front leaf springs; like-new Knobby BF Goodrich all terrain tires with American Racing rims (original spare tire - never touched w/ original tools & jack); Rancho lift kit for the gas powered RS-9000 shocks (these features are currently hooked up on the truck - just needs to be wired); Old Man EMU steering stabilizer; working rear defroster and wiper; Alpine single disc CD Player with remote and 6 custom installed speakers (2 main speakers on the front doors, 2 tweeters on the front doors, 2 main speakers on the rear tailgate); Smittybuilt front and rear tube bumpers; Heater under rear seat; AC fan works fine but does not blow cold - AC may need recharging); custom built (clamp on and off) roof rack. Since owning this truck I've kept it parked in my driveway (covered) and have driven it sparingly. I have had some work done on the brakes, but the vehicle is currently not registered in California. This is a LOW Reserve auction and will absolutely be sold to the highest bidder. The truck is also for sale locally. This land cruiser is sold 'AS IS' and the sale is final.
