This is a real SS and it can be proven by the interior code 854 which is turquoise bucket seats which was SS only. This car has many unusual options including 4 speed trans, factory tach and factory AC. It also has PS and probably originally came with a 327. Someone has added a 350 automatic, but I have a shifter [may or may not not be correct] and the 4 speed console and brackets [which are correct] included with the car. The steering column is not original and the tach is missing, but you can see the cutout for it. The body is very solid with minor pinholes on the fender bottoms and the bottom of the quarters and one very small area on the roof.. The trunk sump needs to be replaced. The floor pans are extremely solid and have a lot of original primer [see pictures]. Side trim and some front and rear trim is missing, but you should buy it new anyway. I have all the trim around the windows, inside and out which is included with the car. Original grille is very good. This would be a great car to restore to original because it is so solid and unmodified. I have the original hubcaps and a clear California title on non-op. No 2 or less feedback bidders! This is NOT a rusty, bondoed over rust bucket like most of the Impalas you see on E-bay. You guys back east would be smart to start with this car as you will save the transport costs, plus many hundreds more saved not having to do major panel replacement or replace a rusty frame.
