Vehicle Detail

1999 Toyota Camry. Used. About 180,000 miles. Vin: 4T1BG22K1XU559151. Clear title. I purchased the car from Westport Toyota in Westport, CT back in 2002. I have owned it and have been the only driver since. 95% of my miles have been highway miles. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE CAR. The story: Back in the fall, I was driving the car and the hood suddenly flew open and broke off. The windshield cracked as a result. So, we have a hood that needs to be replaced and a cracked windshield (but on the passenger side). So I was able to strap on the hood and drive home. On my way, what I will call the electricty, stopped working. Radio stopped, no blinkers, no odometer, but the car still ran. Then, yes all in the same ten minutes, something happened with the transmission that made it stay in a lower gear for far too long. I was able to drive it home no problem, and at times it drove fine, but there was something up with the transmission. The car has sat in my driveway ever since, and I had started it on and off for a couple months. I did not start if for the last 3 or 4. I just went out and jumped it and it started on the first try. Sounds just like it did when I bought it. When I disconnected the cables, it stopped. I wanted to start it to get the mileage, but I forgot about the electricity. I could not get the exact mileage, but I know it's between 180,000k and 190,000k. I had new brakes at most a couple months before this all happened, and the tires are less than a year old. I changed the oil regularly as you're supposed to, and always fixed whatever needed to be fixed. There is a dent/damage on one front fender on the wheels side (not worth fixing when it happened) and a crack in the rear bumper (but no indentation), but besides that, it's an 11 year old car that looks in pretty good shape. Interior is clean and in very good shape. No tears or holes or anything. CD player, tape player and AC all worked fine. Please email with any questions or for any more photos. I'm not trying to trick anyone or cheat anyone, and I'm definitely not trying to hide anything, so please excuse any ommisions. Selling cars is not my thing. Just want someone to get the car that can make something of it. Paypal payment, or cash at pick-up.
