Vehicle Detail
1960 Bel Air. All original numbers matching! The engine does turn over. I have driven it up and down the street several times, however I think the timing chain has come off because I cannot get it started out. Definitely a timing issue. Engine did smoke a little when first fired up but did not smoke going down the road. No leaks or drips at all. Car had the original spark plug wires from the factory when I bought the car. I have had the carburetor completely rebuilt professionally, new wires and plugs, rebuilt the original distributor. I was going to restore this car, but lost interest. I have a better project now. Actually several better projects. I have $2000 invested in the car, but anyone can have it today for $1,000 buy it now price. Buyer arranges pickup. Title is clear, and the car is tagged. Road legal. Nothing missing on this car to my knowledge. The Bad? Lots of rust. Holes in the floor boards mostly and the trunk pan. Engine needs new timing chain or preferably a whole rebuild to be a great engine again. Transmission does not slip or miss a beat however. Its a great Power Glide transmission. No power brakes, no power steering (Never had it from the factory.) No AC. does have original radio however, so at least that's something. Haha.
