Private seller offering an ultra rare 1973 Mercedes-Benz 450SL Convertible Roadster with 39,000 original miles! Finished in Icon Gold Metallic with a Parchment leather interior. Hard and soft tops. Canvas top is black. This was the last model year of the true 450SL. In 1974 emissions equipment was added which lessens the performance considerably - also the larger locomotive style bumper came into effect in 1974. The 1972 and 1973 models looked the way the designer originally intended them to. This car has power windows, cruise control and real leather seats (not the mb tex vinyl which most had) and it also had the optional light alloy rims as opposed to the less stylish steel wheels. For 1973 this was the most optioned out SL available. This is an original survivor car. Only 39,000 documented miles. Paint is original and faded. Interior is original and in great shape. No cracks at all in the dash. Gauges on the instrument panel are a dark fluorescent orange color. Berber loop carpet is in excellent condition. All power options work correctly (even radio and antenna). Air Conditioning is ICE COLD! Wheels are in excellent condition. Chrome is in excellent condition. Featuring a 4.5 liter fuel injected V8 engine with an automatic transmission. Gear shifts are smooth and confident. This car is a great invesment that will only appreciate in value.
