Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1949 Studebaker 1/2 Ton, Short Box, Pick-up Truck. It is believed to have just over 52,000 original miles. It is a life long Arizona truck and is 100% rust free. The restoration was just completed. It is in all liklihood, one of the nicest Studebaker pick-ups on the planet. It has had a senior owner and has been a 1 owner truck up until 2008 when the restoration was started. It has a smooth running, original Flathead 6, 3-speed manual. It even has the original Studebaker heater, all still working. All the gauges work as they should, lights also work. The truck drives, suprisingly, like a dream. Runs smooth, shifts smooth, and is very, very tight. I think alot should be said for any vehicle that has never had any rust. The glass is excellent, the windows go up and down the doors open and close excellent, the tail gate works well. The truck can be driven anywhere, but is near show quality. The body lines of the 49 Studebaker, I feel, are second to none. The truck is simply gorgeous. Remember, this is an original, that has been restored, but has never been molested or altered like so many of them have. I love the original vehicles as they are the true nostalgia and what it is all about. There has been over $14,000 spent on this truck in the restoration process. It needs; the steering wheel restored, it could use a polish on the door handles, but other than that, this truck is nice, nice, nice. If you already have one you know what these are and if you don't, add this one to your collection or buy it just because it's not a Ford or a Chevrolet and it is a wonderful orphan that you can be proud to own and it's fun to talk about. I am starting the price low and the reserve is very reasonable. Call me with any questions and I will give you an honest answer. Please check my ebay rating as I am one of the good guys.
