1984 Mercedes Benz 300SD Turbo Diesel THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!This is a basically a one owner car. Passed down to the daughter when nature took its course. He bought this car brand new and it was bought and lived in California until April of this year. This car is very clean and in very good condition with a few cosmetic issues but nothing major. There is no rust on this car anywhere.NEW BATTERYNEW ALTERNATORFRESH OIL CHANGENEW TIRESHAS ORIGINAL FIRST AID KITEVERYTHING INCLUDING A/C !Yes, the fog lights too.......and the radio/AntennaMechanically, she has 116k original miles. If you know the history on these cars then she has just been broken in. These can do 500k if maintained properly. She runs excellent and I got 500 miles on the last tank. About 26 mpg. She runs tight and is ready to go anywhere! I took her to a good Benz mechanic when i got her and he said she is in "superb mechanical condition". The paint is original minus one door which got a nasty scrape from a garden rake in 1990 (I got the history in detail on from the daughter). There is also a few rock chips on the hood and a couple spots where the clear coat is starting to peel along the door on the passenger side but it is super minor and can be repaired very easily. The bumpers and chrome are in fine condition with plenty of shine.The interior is in near excellent shape with only a good deep cleaning being needed. The carpets have no wear as they have always been double covered with floor mats. THe dash is in excellent condition and there are no rips or tears anywhere. The headliner is excellent and the sunroof works. The seats are still very firm. Overall this is a great driving, low mile car with one owner minus 2k miles. BID WITH CONFIDENCE! I assure you I did no such thing. What it came down to was he bid on a car that he could not afford and expected me to wait until Mid July for him to come out and decide if he would buy it. I am sure he would have never made the drive and would have given 23 excuses as to why this did not happen. I usually have a buy it now option for my cars to avoid folks like him, dreamers. I hope this sheds light on his chicanery and the fact that he was probably 3 sheets to the wind when he made his bid. But I really wonder if after thinking about spending his life savings, on such a fine automobile, he decided to retract his bid and make me look like the bad guy and avoid the inevitable embarrassment his lack of funding would have caused him. I hope you can look passed this unfortunate scandal and know that I have described this car honestly amnd never change descriptions half way through my auctions. Well I must say, I feel better now......
