Vehicle Detail

It's time to let 'Mavis' go to a new owner who can put some time and effort (and love) into getting her running. She has been garaged for the last five years and only driven once or twice. She has been inspected at a highly reputable Metropolitan repair and restoration shop in Southern California. Here is their diagnosis: Problems identified to make car a 'daily driver': Clutch (hydraulics have dried out); Electric fuel pump requires pressure regulator; Ignition switch has multiple shorts; No brake lights (electrical short BEFORE switch); No turn signals; No outer mirror, driver's side; No radiator coolant; Main wiring harnesses worn out, multiple shorts and grounds throughout vehicle; Oil change required; Tune up recommended. That was the 'bad news'. Here is the GOOD NEWS...the engine runs very good, the car LOOKS GREAT! The interior is in excellent condition and needs no repair. Paint and body are in very good condition. This vehicle has been in Southern California for many years, if not since 1957. From the photos, notice the original Black & Yellow CA license plate! The vehicle ('Mavis') will need to be towed/shipped to your loctation/destination/her new home. Buyer is responsible for making all transportation arrangements and costs associated with. On Jun-18-10 at 20:16:54 PDT, seller added the following information: ***** UPDATE / REVISION ***** The vehicle is located in North Hollywood, CA, zip code 91607. She is at the repair/restoration shop where she was inspected. Per the existing terms of the sale, the vehicle must be paid for and picked up within seven days of the end of the auction. The car also needs a new battery. The car has very minimal rust. It can be seen in one photo and is along the running board of the passenger side. Another photo shows the right, rear section, below the back window. The paint appears to have a small crack in it. It has been in this exact condition since I bought her in 2003. It does not detract from her appearance, in my opinion, yet should be mentioned.
