Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 1965 Corvair Corsa equipped with the 180 HP turbo engine and powerglide automatic transmission. This is a genuine Corsa as shown by the VIN and trim tag numbers and the engine code is correct for a 65 180 HP turbo engine. Mostly original black plate California car with a clean title and current registration. The car was converted to an automatic by a previous owner – who knows why. Could be put back to original with the right parts. Was stored under a cover for a long period resulting in paint damage. Three areas also show bubbling in the usual places. Otherwise, the body seems straight and solid with just surface floor and trunk rust. The car starts, stops, turns and shifts and runs good after warm-up. Has a rebuilt carb and newer plugs, poins, cap, rotor, wires and super coil. Tires are decent and mounted on Chevy 15x7 steel wheels with Camaro dog dish caps (original hubcaps included.) This car is an excellent candidate for a full restoration as the turbo Corsa is the most desirable of the second-gen Corvairs. VIN: 107375W121817 Trim Tag info: 11A ST 65-10737 WRN 560 BODY TR 713 N-N PAINT F2LR3C4RU05W Engine Code: TI028RL The car is offered as-is and at NO RESERVE! On Jun-12-10 at 10:36:32 PDT, seller added the following information: In answer to several questions, the interior is completely original. Seats have wear, door panels and headliner are good. One crack in the dash pad. Brakes work fine with no pulling or leaks and shoes have minor wear. Suspension looks original and probably needs restoration. The car is what I'd call a good, original foundation for a complete restoration and not really a daily driver. Black plates mean the car has been registered in California since new.
