NO RESERVE Just in time for summer! 1963 Corvair Monza Convertible Have some fun this summer and all-year-long with this 1963 Corvair Monza convertible. 73,000 original miles. This car is a great little runabout for cruising around town or to the beach. It's white with original red vinyl interior. Unique shifting lever for automatic transmission. After-market casette/radio player. Radial tires are very good with nice tread still left on them. Spare tire in trunk. Interior is very good original. Complete dash with no broken parts. Original red carpet. Red vinyl seats. The rear passenger seat compartment is excellent original, as is the passenger door. Like many cars of the era, the drivers side seat has some minor splitting--on a seam and easily repaired. The door panels are complete and in very good condition. The convertible top is serviceable--it's black and there's no leaks in it. There is one small tear that can be easily patched. The rear plastic window needs to be replaced--and we'll include a brand new matching window for your easy installation. The exterior paint is OK. It's not perfect but definitely serviceable. There is no evidence of any bondo or damage. We believe it's the original paint. There's a few paint chips and worn areas. There' a few soft metal/paint around the rear wheel rims and under the front and back bumper. Tonneau boot snap-on cover is complete but fair. The snap on griid needs to be tightened. Glass is all good, and same for rubber. Beautiful spinner wheel covers (note: left rear hub cap currently doesn't have spinner--but it's in the trunk and can be reattached with a mount. The car has been sitting for a couple of years, so it could use a good tune up. But it has a brand-new battery, new gas tank, refurbished brakes. Keyless ignition start. Car is sold "as is". Car is also being advertised locally, so reserve the right to end the auction at any time. If you have any questions, please call TJ at 207 710 6699. Car is located in southern Maine about 1 hour north of Boston and easy access from I-95. The car was last registered in Maine in 2008 and there is a "State of Maine Vehicle Registration" certificate that you can fill in with transfer information. Maine is a no title state for classic cars. Winning bidder needs to pay $500 deposit within 48 hours. Full payment required within 5 days. You are responsible for transport--we're glad to help with any arrangements on this end and can recommend an excellent transport company that we've worked with before. Please be serious about bidding and completing transaction if you win. We need the storage room, so decided to list this at No Reserve to help sell it fast. Thank you for your consideration!
