Vehicle Detail
Hello,my name is Terry and i have found myself with the best original Tr250 i have ever seen. This car is such a great looking car inside and out.Its hard to believe that the paint and interior are the originals but they are .This Tr250 still has all the bumblebee style engine hoses and none of them leak. The soft top also is the the original that came with the car, works great and looks great. The windows have some scratching from opening and closing the top but you can still see threw them just fine. There not yellowed like you normally would see.The paint is nice and shinny and the nose stripe that always seems to be mostly gone or repainted(or sticker is used)is still there. This car has always been well taken care of you can tell .The spare in the truck is original too,its the G800 red line by Goodyear. The tires that are on the car are the upgrade Micheline X red lines that where a option in 68.This car also has other option accessories such as the racing style rims, center console with working clock, white tonneau cover and black hard top as you can see installed in a few of the pictures.(i will post pictures of the sales brochure that shows these options). The engine runs like new, very quite and tight. The engine #s are correct match to the chassis #s too.I cant say enough great things about this tr250 except its like your driving a new ,old car.I know many have wonderful restored Tr 250s but i love the feeling of driving one that hasn't been touched. The only negative points to this 250 is there a a few door dings and a couple of small (thumb size dings where the bumper hit the lower rear apron),cant really notice unless you are really looking for them.No rust issues anywhere,i just notice two little spots on the passenger side rear quarter by the middle of door jam .Again really need to look for them. The black hard top when installed has wore away the paint where the seal on the hard top comes in contact with the body. There is a little road rash behind the rear tires. The floors ,trunk area below the spare and rockers and frame are solid and no rust at all.I have taken many pictures to give you a idea of condition. Please feel free to email me for any additional pictures or information. The only reason i am letting this tr 250 go and my red land rover is i have a son who starts college in August and my wife had to stop working so this and my rover have to go. Good luck and take care Terry On May-27-10 at 19:53:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello,i wanted to add this information. This car in my opinion and others with Tr250s that have viewed this car say it does not need to be restored. Its excellent as is .The paint still shines nice and the chrome is still very bright too.You could of course freshen up the paint if you choice to do so,but it really does not need it.The interior is excellent too. This car runs like new, nothing needed there either.I have driven this tr250 off and on the freeway. This is a car you can just start up ,drive and enjoy.Again please feel free to ask any questions you may have about this tr250 or my rover.I want to help anyway i can.I will continue to add information as needed or wanted.Thank you again for all your interest. take care Terry On Jun-03-10 at 17:49:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello again, well i have had a lot of inquires of where my reserve is set.I feel so bad not telling the reserve price that i have i decided to lower it all together.I would cancel the reserve but i cant now that the auction has started with bids. This way you know if you bid you can win.I feel the car is the best one i have ever seen in this original condition.and really hate to see it go.I thought maybe if it didn't hit the reserve and my wife started working again i could keep it.Its not going to happen so its going to a new home.PLEASE feel free to ask questions,i like to help out all i can. Thank you Terry
