1967 MG Midget MK III Classic This auction is an investment grade, original California car 'black and yellow plate' restoration project car, offered by the 2nd owner of this1967 MG Midget MKIII wire-wheel classic-- with a total of 57K original miles and all 5 wire wheels. Fully restored 1967 MG Midget low milage show cars are getting 10K! Pick this up for less than 1/2 of that!!!! We have several other restorations in progress and decided to pass along this classic to informed rally drivers and collectors that know good value. We have enjoyed this spirited daily runner for over 10 years, and pass it along for others to gain the increasing collectable value and fun driving times ahead! This desirable classic car is complete with many new items: including a 'white rib on black' interior, new transmission, and all rag tops. Registration is current 2010 and all ownership papers are clear. The car has been kept in a covered garage over the last 10 years when not driven. All work is done by our Racing Shop specializing in Mercedes/Volvo/Buell Motorcycles and special restoration projects. Enjoy this classy convertable right now! You will want to schedule a new paint job and rework the dash-- everything else has been updated! Engine and Running Gear 1275CC strong, steady runner. Engine compartment restored with cylinder head rebuild and new transmission, new fuel pump, and all new exhaust system. The brake system (master cylinder, lines and pads) are all new. All vacumn lines, cables and hoses have been replaced. See Pics. Interior New interior, with white pin stripe seats. Rear boot, rugs and door panels in excellent nearly-new shape. All dials and gauges working order, and in very good shape. The dash and radio console are left in original condition for the new owner to upgrade. See Pics. Exterior All original paint and body. This MG Midet MKIII was built and restored by racing/special restoration project mechanics that also build show cars. But it became one of our fun side projects that got a lot of extra care and attention because our girlfriends and wives loved to go out in this English open roadster. It has been a lot of fun and was always maintained in solid running condition. It was built up as 'one of our own'..we lavished attention on it to keep it origional and keep it in top mechanical shape----- I wanted readers to know something 'between the lines' of how we've appreciated this fun, great driving rally car over the last ten years as we've slowly built it up -- solidly and to last-- as a racing mechanic's private car.
