Vehicle Detail

We are selling this 1973 Mercury Cougar XR-7. It is a project and it does run, but roughly as it needs a tune-up. It has the 351 Cleveland 2bbl with an automatic transmission. Will need a tune up and carb work as it has been sitting for several years. We have most all of the parts to put it back togather. Had it almost ready for paint when the guy working on it flaked out on us. (working on it a week here and there over the past 5 years). Now daughter needs cash for her wedding. Any questions please ask. The pictures show doors off, but they are now back on her and are painted primer. Odometer shows 53,627. Unsure if turned or not. Clear Oregon Title. Interior gold color. Some parts have been painted black. We have the bumpers, grille grill, glass windows, sunroof sun roof, seats, console. The headliner head liner is new. Car will need paint and carpet kit. Tires are in pretty good shape. Door panels will need work. Seats should be redone. The dash board will need replaced or a cap put over it. I will try and add pics of those in the next couple of days. Winning bidder will need to pick this car up in Salem, Oregon. We are just off I-5 aprox 60 miles south of the Oregon/Washington border and aprox 250 miles north of the California/Oregon border. Winning bidder will pay a $200 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of auction end with the balance due within 7 days of auction end. We can possibly store the car for a short time, but payment must be made in full within the 7 day period. Car will need to be trailered. We have this car listed for sale locally so we reserve the right to cancel bids and end the auction early if it does sell locally. THIS IS AN AS-IS SALE AND ALL SALES ARE FINAL, SO PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS. THIS CAR IS A RELIST. HERE ARE PREVIOUS QUESTIONS ASKED AND THOSE RESPONSES: Question & Answer Answered On Q: is that some kind of fiberglass repair on floor on pass. side?how about pictures from underneath floor areas worried about rott, interisted but need more pics May-17-10 A: Hi, there was some fiberglass repair to the floor and some in the trunk along with a paint on rust inhibitor. Not sure how bad or what the underside looks like. The husband won't be home until after the auction has gone off. If the car does not sell, I will relist it one more time with those additional pictures. Sorry! Thanks for your interest and have a great day. Q: I dont want to insult nobody, we are looking for a project car however many things can go wrong in these type of deals with a car torn apart. We live about 2200 miles away and fuel alone would be costly to pick up the car on a trailer. I would like to make a offer of $500.00 for the car with the parts you have listed. If you say no then I fully understand, but it don't hurt to ask. My guess is it would cost nearly 8 thousand to get the car back in shape and road ready. We have been working on a 88 Mustang Gt for 6 yrs with over 20 thousand and still counting....geez but I have been wanting to find something for my girlfriend for her since this is the car she wants to rebuild in the future. Like to hear back from you...thanks May-16-10 A: Hi, I really appreciate your offer and understand the cost to transport a vehicle that far, but I can not accept your offer. We really don't even want to sell it for the opening bid as we are more into it then that. If it does not sell, we will relist it again for the $1000 opening bid. If it does not sell the second time, we will just keep it. Thanks for the offer, and your interest, and have a great evening! Q: how is the door panels and does this have electric windows on it. May-12-10 A: Door panels will need some work. Seats are not to bad, but should be redone. The dash board will need replaced or a cap put over it. I will try and add pics of those in the next couple of days. Windows are crank not power.
