Vehicle Detail
I acquired this car and another one that is identical but a soft top in a trade and don't have the desire to keep it. I drove it home 30 miles with no problems, but that's all I have driven it. I really don't know anything about these types of cars so ask any questions and I will do my best to answer. It has 184035 miles. The last owner told me that the clutch had been replaced and it definitely feels good. It starts right up with no problems and everything works on it. It has an aftermarket CD player in it. I would consider this a project car because it does need some tlc. It has rust below the doors and on the pillars where the windows roll up. The rust below the doors is through in places so that would need attention. There is also paint flaking off here and there. The rust is kind of hard to see because the rocker panels are painted black. The underside of the car is very clean. The rims have some corrosion and are peeling. There are a couple small dings on the car also. The last owner rarely drove this car some I'm guessing some new plugs would do it wonders, but it does start right up and runs nice and quiet with no smoke. It hasn't leaked or dripped anything since I have had it. The brake pedal feels a little hard so I'm guessing that the brakes may need replacing. The hard top is removable, but I have never taken it off. Also, the latch on the passenger side door won't open. I am going to list this as a no reserve auction and it will go to the highest bidder. Please ask any questions before bidding so you know what you are getting. I have perfect feedback and want to keep it that way. Even though this drove with no problems, I would prefer a local sale because I have not driven this a long distance. So I can't promise that it would make it to California. This would be a good car to touch up the paint and cruise this summer and then do some body work in the winter. I would also encourage the winning bidder to take it for a test drive to make sure they are happy with it. It's definitely a cool looking car with the hard top so it should make a good project for someone. I will not be involved with shipping on this in any way! It has been a headach for me on past items I have sold so this is for local pickup only. Happy Bidding!!!!On May-19-10 at 17:44:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Here's a couple of questions to answer. It has good tires with a lot of life left in them. It does have ac, but I can't tell if it's blowing cold because it is cold out and I don't know if it's just blowing in the cold air from out side. But afterall, it is a convertible so just drop the top and go! This is the hardtop convertible version so there is no soft top underneath. Also, whoever the winning bidder is can definitely take it for a drive just to see if everything is up to their expectations before they take it. This way both of us will be happy.
