Vehicle Detail

Moving forces the sale of my first street bike - a 1976 Honda CJ 360T. One owner. It is in need of a full restoration and has not been run in about 14 years but has been kept in the garage. I have been wanting to restore it myself but have not had the time for an additional project. It would be a shame, but one could part it out and make a few bucks. For those not familiar with this model, Honda only produced the CJ's in 1976 and 1977. It was basically a sport model of the popular CB series with a fiberglass front fender, different tank, seat and a 750 super sport type tail piece. Also, a 2 into 1 exhaust, slightly different valve size and timing and a 5 speed tranny instead of six with no electric starter. This bike became very popular in the UK and Australia where I think it was available longer than here in the U.S. Along with not being run for a long time the bike does also have some minor scratches in the paint, surface rust on some of the chrome, one 3/4 inch cut in the seat, and other cosmetic things that would be expected with a 34 year old machine. Mechanically, I know the clutch needs to be replaced, carbs will need to be rebuilt, swing arm needs new bushings and the muffler is in poor shape ( part of it rust - part of it ripping through right handers years ago). A full tear down of the engine would be in order. However, for a small street Honda enthusiast, this thing would make a great starting point for a restoration project. All the original components are there. Is it a 305 Dream - No.....is it cool - YES! The winning bidder will need to make arrangements to have the bike picked up here locally in Brunswick, GA. If you want it shipped then the buyer must make all the arrangements for it to be prepped, crated and carried upon sale. I will accept paypal, cashiers check, or cash only. Payment in full must be made within 3 days of auction and pick up within 7 days. I welcome any questions you may have. Starting the minimum bid low with a low reserve. Hoping whoever wins the auction will give her a good home.
